Doesn't prohibit anyone else from using nostr, no one is forced to join the paid-for relay, choice of relay still remains with the end user, so I don't see an issue.
Monetizing relays maybe? - Creators/companies can open their own relay that they charge people to join to see their content, access the community, talk with them etc.
So if I remove all relays except forΒ 1, let's say bitcoiner.social, as an example, and then I go to my global feed, will I only see posts made by others connected to bitcoiner.social (unless posts are propogated)?
Yes, I beleive when logging in to a client, you can paste the pubkey instead of the private key and then you can see that key's timeline/POV. However, this doesn't let you post as that person.
