I had to prompt it a little by saying something like Nostr is a decentralized social platform.

It didn't have a clue what Nostr was when I first asked without any clues.

Testing Testing from NostrGram.

This is actually really cool. I love the layout over here. Super unique. I think this might be my go-to even over Amethyst.

Damn. Good job @jleger2023!

But if I was a creator and hosted my videos on my own server, then Nostr would only need to connect the user to my server, allowing people to watch videos directly from me rather than the video passing through a relay.

That may be a lot of resources asked of the creator, but it could be done. I'm just not sure if it's the best way to go about it.

We need a video sharing app like YouTube or Odysee, but Bitcoin only.

Is there a way Nostr could fill that need?

Or would that be too much stress on relays?

Perhaps the solution would be Peer 2 Peer like Keet, where content creators could host the videos themselves.

Hahaha 😆

Almost missed it, but that's hilarious.

Here's what ChatGPT has to say about Nostr:

Nostr is rapidly gaining popularity due to its decentralized and open-source nature. Unlike many other social media platforms, Nostr is not owned or controlled by a central authority, making it more transparent and democratic. Its open-source architecture means that anyone can access and modify its code, making it more adaptable and resilient to changes.

The decentralized and open-source nature of Nostr offers several advantages that make it stand out in the crowded social media market. Here are some reasons why Nostr is likely to defy all odds and become a dominant player in the industry:

Decentralization Offers Greater Privacy and Security

One of the primary concerns with many social media platforms is their centralized structure, which makes them vulnerable to hacking, data breaches, and privacy violations. Nostr addresses these concerns by decentralizing the platform, which means that user data is stored on a distributed network of computers instead of a central server.

This makes it much harder for malicious actors to access or manipulate user data, as they would need to breach multiple nodes in the network. Additionally, because no single entity controls the platform, users have greater control over their data and can be assured that their information is secure.

Open Source Architecture Allows for More Flexibility and Innovation

Nostr's open-source architecture allows developers and users to access and modify the platform's code, making it more adaptable and responsive to user needs. This means that Nostr can evolve and improve more quickly than centralized platforms, which often have to go through a cumbersome approval process for any changes.

Moreover, the open-source nature of Nostr enables developers to create custom features and integrations that can be easily added to the platform. This makes it easier to customize the user experience and add functionality that is not available on other social media platforms.

Decentralization Empowers Users and Promotes Democratic Values

Because Nostr is not controlled by a central authority, users have greater control over the platform and can contribute to its development and governance. This empowers users to take more responsibility for the platform and encourages a sense of community ownership.

Moreover, the decentralized nature of Nostr promotes democratic values by removing power from a small group of people and distributing it across the user base. This creates a more equitable and fair platform that is less prone to abuse and manipulation.

In conclusion, Nostr's decentralized and open-source nature offers several advantages that make it a promising social media platform. Its focus on privacy, security, flexibility, innovation, and democracy sets it apart from centralized platforms and could give it an edge in the market. While no platform can guarantee success, Nostr's unique features and approach make it a platform to watch as it continues to grow and evolve.

What is the consensus on Ordinals and why?

I'll be the first to admit I don't know enough yet to have an opinion.
