Open source everything. Christ | Coding | Ignoring fascist edicts | Avoiding big tech | Learning mercy over judgement | Watching and awaiting his presence 1John2:28

Well said. I watched the internet go from a new unexpored place to completely captured in less than 30 years. I am now only interested in non big tech solutions.

Anyone that is still using Windows unless at the point of a gun is acting the fool. (I pretty much consider working for corp's to be forced labor)

Anyone bindly clicking though 'accept' buttons to use phone apps has lost their mind. (mine is nothing but a 2 factor necessity)

Anyone using their doctor's office app is sharing all their medical information explicitly with permission.

Anyone... the list goes on... and on...

Of course, I'm the odd one becuase I never used twitter, I saw this comming a long time ago.

mises.org: Can There Be Justice Outside of the State? Yes -- https://tinyurl.com/29jrzbkw -- People have come to believe that only the state is morally qualified to create and maintain a system of justice. However, given that the state itself acts unjustly, perhaps it is time to look outside of the state. #liberty #news

"Rather than just accepting the status quo, perhaps we should question whether states are appropriate administrators of justice at all, and instead consider whether a state-free or libertarian approach to justice could work."

This was going good until the second comma. We just need Christ as King. 2000 years and the prominent publishers still think they can do better. -Acts 2:30-36

It really depends on how one defines "high achieving". Is it an accomplishment to gain riches and stuff by screwing over other hard working people. "Economy Management" ha. More like musical chairs ponzie scheme management. Makes me think of charles schab 'investing' everyones money for them. It is like they are saying to the masses... Nevermind how much we make, be happy that you have not lost everything, yet.

I think of millions of hard working people, working all their lives to "earn wages, only to put them in a bag with holes.” - Haggai 1:6

Bitcoin represents an honest ledger that can't be gamed. That's why the blue collars have been mentored by their betters to believe its bad.

Filled up with gas today. $5.65 per gallon. But hey, at least I can still get it.

You would love my junk boxes

Terminator: It like you said 'yep'

"Bitcoin is the earthly manifestation of the spirtual ascension in human consciousness."

I know you are excited about bitcoin, but it would be wise to consider the creator of consciousness before venrating bitcoin to idol status.

Bitcoin is a tool, not a God.

Another thought about this: Some of the challenges for installing linux is that older hardware uses BIOS where new hardware uses UEFI firmware. Some setup utilites allow 'legacy' BIOS fallback, but newer hardware is UEFI only. Make sure you image install media for BIOS or UEFI specifically.

I think a killer app for noster would be pgp encripted direct messages created on the client side, with relays that will forward encrpted messages if users buy the service. Instead of a blue check, you get secure messaging that does not require an MBA to figure out.

I have installed ubuntu recently on old and new hardware and had very little hardware problems. (I like KDE: Kubuntu) The most frustrating thing is kernel upgrades jacking up display drivers or the grub boot loader. All fixable but require patience.

For installing apps: SNAP is CRAP... I suggest Installing apps using apt repositories or binary files (built from source when you can!)

Tails is great if your objective is to run tor and a proxy, otherwise will not be a very good experience.

The killer nostr app is not twitter. It is (will be) so much more. The most important tech we have ever seen was relased anon. For good reason. The most intelligent among us should recognize this and humble themselves. Put away greed and focus on good. The key is trust. The multitude are not trustworthy, but a large contingent are. Know your audience, and let primal be primal.

"...The industry would benefit if we didn’t call Bitcoin a cryptocurrency, but a crypto asset"

Way to tow the line mike. You will surly piss off your owners and find yourself in a ditch somewhere if you were to advocate sound money.
