100%.

nostr lacks (by design) a good discovery and suggestion algorithm. without larger accounts spreading smaller ones, we post into the abyss.

help us. thank you.

hm.

thought provoking. let's listen to the song a bit.

do you use any tool to cross-post between X and nostr or just do it manually?

this is the biggest bitcoin mining farm in the US.

call that β€œdecentralised”?

lol. no.

that needs to change. fast.

just received my first 100 zaps. feels exciting.

i am not sure what is more worrying for bitcoin:

>1 sat/vB fees.

>8 blocks in a row mined by a KYC captured US miner.

are you running your own nostr node?

what do you use it for?

to be honest this gives me some hope for nostr.

i have only seriously been playing around with it for a few days and frankly have been disappointed with the lack of content diversity. most of it seems pretty niche, btc focused and lots of memes.

this is maybe 5% of why i consume social media. the remaining 95% should be:

>real time (news) information

>interesting takes by interesting people

>moments of learning

>discussions

muffed up nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m’s tag there it seems.

anyone running an active btc mining operation?

what is your take on @jack’s proton rig?

nostr:npub1sn0wdenkukak0d9dfczzeacvhkrgz92ak56egt7vdgzn8pv2wfqqhrjdv9 are you still using nostr or did you leave?

just added a NIP-05 verification but somehow it does not show. maybe i misconfigured somehow?

is there an elegant way to have a base identity in nostr that is kept offline?

if my secret key gets compromised the entire account is gone, no?

is it just me or is lightning network infrastructure risky in terms of abuse?

even if the protocol is safe, there is lots of trust involved with email style adresses and defeats the self custodial promise of btc.

i am trying to figure out how to add a lightning adress to nostr and itβ€˜s surprisingly cumbersome.
