I get the philosophy of what you mean, but heck its a real problem that something like this can paralyze nostr users in a snap. At least it did to me :(. I have laughed a lot about the randomness of it, and my wife and I watch the thread and laugh, and I like that the option of something like this this to exists... but yeah... a mute button would be great!
How to fix the destruction of our notifications section because we were mentioned in a hyper tagged post and now infinite notifications are invading our profile every second :'(.

Rumble - also excellent but centralised
Peertube - peer to peer but not as sophisticated as the other two since it probably doesn’t have anywhere near the same funding
