You can use the onchain funds without channels, but there's not really any point doing it. Just open a channel with Acinq to get started

Well, the alternative is using a custodial solution... Phoenix is a good alternative though. Not everyone needs to have their own LN node. Fun to learn however

I’m still trying to wrap my head around Lightning channels tbh… as we speak, I’m watching a tutorial of nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8

But why would I need to open channels with multiple persons?

Right? You open channels with people you send/receive sats from… am I just not smart enough to understand or is this a very weird way thing?

I don’t get it (for now) 😂 I WANT to use my lightning node, but I just don’t see the use for it I think.

It's probably enough to open 2/3 bigger channels with well connected nodes. You don't want to spread your liquidity too thin. If possible, +1m sats per channels as a rough guideline.

Got a Dutch manuscript in my inbox for Rothbard's For A New Liberty. Clearly a DeepL translation, but certainly polished up. I struggle with this trade-off. I want to publish it, but it's not pleasant to read.

Listened to the audiobook a few years back. Left a big impression on me.

Struggles of publishing books in the current day. What would you do?

The increase certainly slowed down, mainly due to energy prices (in Europe). Next leg up soon probably

Lunanode is great. No complaints. But Blink is still custodial, which is less ideal

Bougjt hardware for it recently but it'll probably lie idle for a couple more years

GM Nostr. I want to see more LSP options for the internal lightning node in btcpay. Especially with the new phoenixd tool. Will chip in sats to the bounty

Following lots of people, globally, that's great. Makes sense for a better feed. But why is it still so hard to make simple lists in clients like Amethyst or Primal?

I want a list of local people, friends and family. More like the old facebook feel. Perhaps it's melancholic.

But I don't want to miss what they post, and engage, or they'll be put off and leave Nostr asap

Onboarded 3 people to Lightning with Primal. 🔥

Promising sats helps
