Not understanding btc is one thing...allowing funding and grants from Wall Street/ETF/FED gang is another thing. People who want to fund core devs were not so long ago doing all they could to kill the project. Is Satellite Broadcasting Of Bitcoin Protocol one of the discussed/proposed upgrades? Seems to be some noise surrounding that.

Satellite Broadcasting Of Bitcoin Network.

One thins about Saylor and his thesis...he is heavily invested, his life is btc...and he will die before he will let people screw it up..he said something about powerful entities joining the network that will protect it out if self interest. I trust that to be true...and I am not Saylor's fan boy.

I wonder why so many on NOSTR are kinda pushing for this..may be they did not ask ai about the drama 🤪

I always thought that Adam Black is close with Saylor..well he is on of the core bitcoin figures. Doesn't mean he is right...may be this could be useful some 20 years into the future...when we expand beyond earth for real.

And here are the negative aspects:

Some Bitcoiners resist the use of satellite broadcasting for the Bitcoin network due to potential privacy and centralization concerns:

- Sending data to the Blockstream satellites could reveal a user's location and activity, compromising their privacy.[3] Those living under authoritarian regimes may be particularly at risk.

- Relying on a centralized satellite network controlled by a single company (Blockstream) goes against Bitcoin's decentralization principles.[4] It introduces a potential point of failure or censorship.

- There are fears that satellite broadcasting could enable tracking of Bitcoin users and transactions, undermining the intended anonymity of the system.

- Some argue that satellite broadcasting is an unnecessary complexity, and the existing peer-to-peer network is sufficiently robust and decentralized.

- There are concerns about the environmental impact of launching and maintaining satellite constellations for Bitcoin broadcasting.

So while satellite technology could enhance Bitcoin's resilience and global accessibility, critics worry it may compromise user privacy, introduce centralization risks, enable surveillance, and have environmental costs - issues that clash with Bitcoin's core ethos of decentralization and anonymity.

Satellite broadcasting has been proposed as a method to improve the privacy and resilience of the Bitcoin network. Here are some key points about using satellites for Bitcoin broadcasting:

- Blockstream has launched satellites to broadcast the Bitcoin blockchain globally, allowing users to receive blockchain data via satellite without an internet connection.[2] This provides an alternative to the traditional peer-to-peer network for receiving blockchain data.

- Satellite broadcasting can enhance privacy by allowing users to receive Bitcoin data without connecting to the internet, making it harder to trace their activity.[3] Users only need a satellite dish to receive the broadcast.

- Projects like BitSats, SpaceChain, and ChainSat have explored using satellites as nodes to propagate blocks and transactions in a space-terrestrial Bitcoin network.[2] This could improve the resilience and decentralization of the network.

- Satellites' wide coverage and multicast capabilities could help improve the scalability of blockchain networks by efficiently disseminating data to many nodes simultaneously.[2]

- The fixed propagation delay of satellite links is more predictable than internet routing, which could benefit blockchain consensus protocols.[2][1]

So in summary, satellite broadcasting has been proposed as a privacy-enhancing measure for Bitcoin users and as a way to build more resilient, scalable blockchain networks by leveraging satellites' unique capabilities.[2][3]

Damn..pretty impressive.

I hope #bitcoin doesn't give a single fuck about this drama. I TRUST IN THE POWER OF NODES CONSENSUS.
