Is the number of good mornings per day stacked a good popularity measure?

Maybe.

You meant like personal subjectivity?

Like I think it is art for some stupid reason, so it is art, but only for me. Until someone else thinks the same for the same reason or for another.

The best algorithm is only a personal search.

Change my mind.

Nostr's super power:

Any nostr app you login to has access to

* your social graph/friends list,

* your data (private and public)

* your keys to save your data encrypted

* keys of your friends to send them secret messages and data that only they can read

* keys of all users to easily verify authenticity of users and posts

Why does my post look differently after I post it in #Amethyst ?

Newlines are not where I added them.

Until **the benefit** does not

overcome **the cost**,

people won't use IT.

The weigh of benefit and the weigh of cost is different for different people.

Free things are not really sustainable. There is no such as free lunch.

Maybe Mega?

Nostr is a social square, you have to greet the others before talking to them.

I could even argue that socialization is also broken.

Somehow in this instant gratification world, kids are less likely to learn how to form meaningful relationships, friendships.

Also re: "how do you start with someone" - agreed that's the perennial problem. Keyservers are one unideal solution. The other is people doing things like this: https://vinneycavallo.com/contact

And a third is networks like Nostr, Bitcoin, and other crypto networks (.eth, ie) where people associate their identities with public keys.

True! I was also thinking about either nostr could be a good keystore, or directly if you make encrypted nostr mailboxes, you could get the discoveribility, and identities would be the keys. So you don't have to match an identity to a key. Also can have downsides, but could be an interesting concept.
