Afaik _VAULT would enable the state to force regulated financial institution to programmatically limit movement of bitcoin to only to other institutions via predetermed addresses.

This may help the fiat folks to lock a huge part of the bitcoin float inside the fiat financial system.

I am not sure we should make this kind of stuff easier for them. Thus i am on the fence with regard to an OP_VAULT softfork.

As with most new tools I could also be used to better secure bitcoins against state attacks.

I am at the stage of bitcoin obsession that i now listen to Bitcoin Optech. Newsletter recap podcast on repeat while fiat mining hahaha just to get some of the technical details of bitcoin and lightning into my thick skull. You galaxy brains don't know how hard this shit is to learn ;)

One caveat I see to splicing getting into is Lightning Labs dragging their feat as their cash cow Loop would be obsolete.

Maybe splicing will be the upgrade that break LND's huge market share and give us more diversity in the lightning nodes on the network.

It's hard witnessing colleages, friends, and family in total denial experiencing deteriating health and obvious vaccine injury's without being able to enlighten or help them. Another great day in the mountain comes to an end. I sometimes miss the social aspects of citylife but I am still here in the mountain's after all these year's. Its so peaceful I can't let go. A day or two in the city and I want to go home haha.
