And also I’ve been digging through all the European versions of Wikipedia and translating them in browser and comparing. Super interesting who remembers which parts of the high Middle Ages
Ancestry International version had a two week free trial + hyperfixation 😅. Got my moneys worth.

Welcome!! 🤗
Funny enough I read The Da Vinci Code in a single sitting when I was a youth 😅
Bedtime story by the fire 🔥 🌙
Last year I had a dream that my grandfather told me the holy grail was never a cup — it was always a bell 🔔 and to look for my ancestors before 1700. So naturally, I went looking. I found out that both sides of my family were French Huguenots, fleeing the violence of the Roman Catholic Church, who arrived here between 1699 (dad’s side) and 1713 (mom’s side).
But before 1700 is where it gets wild.
My dad’s ancestors were nobility, descended from one of the daughters of King Robert the Pious, son of Hugues Capet, father of the Capetian Dynasty and grandson of Charlemagne. Our correct name-spelling is Chasteigner, which in French would have sounded a lot like Chasteen. Funny side note: I have cousins who use the spelling Chastain, but my grandfather before he passed always told me “it has two E’s - don’t let anyone tell you different!” And sure enough the original does have two E’s, just not together. 😄
From what I can tell, we branched away from the Catholic Church in the high Middle Ages during the Crusades in favor of newly emerging Protestant ideas, but we remained in the protection of our cousins the French kings until after François 1, but not too long after! 😅
Speaking of Francis the First, this is where we run into my mom’s ancestors. So get this: my dad’s ancestral cousin King Francis, hired my mom’s ancestors, the three Brothers Caldwell — to sail with Admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa as a protective detail, since by that time the old chivalric orders had been disbanded by Francis’s predecessors, most notably Philip the Fair who betrayed the Knights Templar 200 years prior, which coincidentally was exactly when the Caldwell family migrated from Albi, France to Scotland where they were granted lands neighboring another French guy you might have heard of: Hugh de Payens. 😉
Even though the Caldwells fled France as religious refugees in the 1300s (we were Albigensian Cathars, and I still can’t find our original name spelling but it might have been the Occitanian ‘Cailhavel’), we frequently sailed out of the port of Toulon, where we met Francis and Barbarossa in the 1500s. Of course, that was Toulon before Napoleon made it into an open air prison for a hundred years. It’s even said the King of England gave a silver cup engraved with the mountains of Toulon to our family before we left for America, so if anyone has seen that particular grail please do let me know.
Anyway that’s my ancestral version of “How I met your mother” 🤣 hope you enjoyed.

Yeah that’s a no go for me. I tried high-meat diets in my 20s to lose weight and gave myself gallstones. 🤣 my doc at the time said I could have my gallbladder removed or stop eating animal products and I said: I feel like that’s an easy choice. I healed up with plants and still have all my organs. I’m glad you found something that worked for you!
Can you name one animal on earth where two individuals of that species have a different optimal diet?
The answer is...👇👇👇
...No.
Some plant-eaters get extremely stuck on this fallacy that "Everyone is different, I feel great eating plants," when in reality they're capping themselves at an extremely low bar, as they have no idea what it feels like to have ZERO plant toxins clogging up their bodily systems.
The tragedy is that these people have been so deeply indoctrinated by their favorite Netflix documentary that they are mentally incapable of connecting the dots between the health deterioration they're experiencing, and the food they're ingesting. They are so wholly convinced that fruits & vegetables are the healthiest thing you can eat, that they've never once considered this human-indigestible plant fiber may in fact be the INSTIGATOR causing their digestive woes, mental health degredation, skin problems, hormonal irregularity, etc.
They think they're doing good for nature, because that's what Netflix told them. But the reality is they are giving the middle finger to nature, because they aren't eating the food we are specifically designed to (ideally exclusively) eat: fatty red meat.
Stop disrespecting nature, and your place in it. Try the carnivore diet for 90 days, and all of these pro-meat rants from weirdos like myself will suddenly make sense.

I’d just like to throw in my own theory about this which has no evidence other than personal evidence to back it up, but, as someone with Rh negative blood type, I prefer a plant based diet. Maybe it’s for the same reason that my body rejects blood from non-rh-negative sources. But I def agree with you that it is weird that our species has several dietary subsets according to our belief systems / egos. Even weirder when you find out that eating meat was made widely popularized by the Catholic Church in the high Middle Ages as they were slaughtering the vegetarians as heretics. Haha. Anyway just more to ponder. Have a good one. 🤙
I have a pc desktop, pc laptop, and Mac laptop with 3 monitors… I made a poor choice.
See I should have asked you and not IT! 🤣
Get a KVM switch for your triple display, they said. It’ll be easy to set up, they said. 😑
Must have, sorry nostr:npub1r8wdfruydenz84fxfespcswuhcvyatx6umtd5xguexup49u500xskf50hn
Enjoy your weekend

I’ll give you a pass since I used to be president of my high school Republican club. 😄 and then I was a Berner, and now the only allegiance I have is to freedom. 😎
