If #zap you on iOS and it’s not coming from nostr:npub1wxl6njlcgygduct7jkgzrvyvd9fylj4pqvll6p32h59wyetm5fxqjchcan that usually means I copied the ID of your note from Damus and pasted it into Snort in my browser and used NWC to send you ⚡️84 so you better believe I liked what you posted.

aah thanks for reminding me you can copy note ID. forgot about that.. better than scrolling and scrolling.

I just have snort.social saved on the home screen, as though it came from the appstore itself, so I can swipe out of damus and into snort all nsec’ed and ready to ⚡️⚡️⚡️🔫

4 books off the top of my head that had the biggest impact on my thinking. sorry couldn’t just choose one

at first you want to warn everyone you know. the solution is so clear. and you keep at it like a mad man feeling like you’re going crazy until you realize that no one else around you *wants* to get it. or they don’t believe you. or if they do, they just don’t care enough. then comes the, “maybe I should just let them come to me” phase. the one where you remember that you had to find it on your own too. can’t really force feed it anyway, orange pilling is tricky…

Addition: HandBreakBatch is no longer maintained, but it still works. https://github.com/taglia/handbrakebatch

I use it to convert the videos synced from my phone via Syncthing into smaller file-sized ones before dumping them into a hard drive that is also synced via Syncthing with a Pi running at home.

oh cool 🤙

#bitcoin only buy what you can’t afford to lose

I figure if you can at least comfortably make it up to 2x, you’re cutting the time it takes to get through a book in half. after years of reading, that can really add up

definitely takes a few weeks of slowly increasing speed. 2.5x is probably my fastest comfort level really. I realized 3x is mainly reserved for something I want to skim through and lightly absorb. (or when a writer is just not so good). I think learning to speed-read audio books is one of the most efficient methods of learning (depending on the book of course). it sounds funny at first but your brain adjusts with practice

definitely works better for those that consider themselves worldly, or human rights advocates. for everyone else, number go up technology makes for a better trojan horse 🧡
