(Sorry #gin folk of nostr, this household is Gordon’s served over ice, mint, no-carb tonic in old tumblers we got free from McDonalds)

Weekly #wip #writing check-in, while I wait for my critique group to start (I need to get the gin and tonic ready.)

2,857 words added to the current manuscript. 45,285 manuscript total, too many words for not having hit the midpoint! Been thinking about craft problems I have and how and when to fix them. Worrying about genre when I don’t have one.

Got no #books read, unless you count plodding through Probability for Dummies as needed.

Hope you all have a great week, whatever you’re working on.

Fabio, my faithful hound, keeping me company while I finish up notes for tonight’s meeting:

I don’t think there’s very many yet. What kinda stuff do you like to write/read? šŸ’œ

I’m gonna start recommending cats to everyone I see

Tiny ruckus, just standing there and barking at me. I’ve given him food, pats, toys, play time, ice cubs. What do you want, doggie???

This prick is no help at all. This household is now team Chihuahua and anti-Pomerania (loud dumb, dumb dogs)

#dogsofnostr helping with maths homework

Whenever I’m supposed to be concentrating on writing I’m fantasizing about art supplies and the images I’m going to make. Whenever I’m painting I just want to get back to writing. (The hospital jobs only gives me nightmares :D)

That is a beautiful photo

#wip #writing weekly update.

1200 words on current manuscript completed and 800 on the barebones of an outline for ā€˜Damp’, the next project, to give to my critique group for a brainstorming session, they are the best.

So, met the 2k weekly goal, but it doesn’t feel good not spending the whole 2k on the main manuscript, so I’ll update the goal to make sure I’m focusing on getting the current story done.

The next idea is always more fun to work on, damn it.

If you decide to get your degree in stats or maths can I recommend doing it all at once and not piecemeal over five years

Week 2 of returning to maths and I’m already cracking opening Probability for Dummies. Concepts easy, notation forgettable

He’s such a good boy otherwise, but he had a couple of big off-leash dogs run up to us and scare him, so now he’s alway hyper alert when we go for a walk. Every-time we make a bit of progress they’ll be like a surprise dog in the lift or something that takes us back to square 1.

Remedial class at dog school today because this one is 2.2kg of pure menace on leash! #dogsofnostr

It looks like a beautiful place. I can’t believe I didn’t visit when I lived in Victoria for 2 years. (Poor at the time, my only excuse)
