I like freedom. I like the orange coin. I'm a purveyor of sovereignty with nostr:nprofile1qqs9v5v8trgum5msr6cd82j3r77mhj94sk0adcp2232sdy65srusmdqpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0l39fwr

Giving nostr:npub1vr2nva0s0hhfulthjy8053rg9kruk5erzwaxdw85gjwkfytj994sgudzvx a spin. Mostly for their global feature. I need to travel and want to avoid the hassle of getting a prepaid card.

First impressions:

- Lightning payment was smooth.

- eSIM setup in a few clicks was easy.

China is an untested superpower without real-world wartime experience with modern weapons, modern warfare, and modern intelligence.

Russia is the only real threat to the United States.

Russia never wanted to be that. The US rejected their desire to join NATO, sabotaged Putin's relationships with Chirac and Shroeder. In fact it was probably the joint veto of the US iraq war (Russia + France + Germany) in the UN security council that made the US dead-set on isolating Russia from Western Europe. People always mention NATO expansion, but there was a lot of other moves the West pulled, such as withdrawing from the ABM treaty, putting Aegis defense systems in Poland and Romania (to defend against Iran? bullshit), etc, of course most recently the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline. The US sabotaged Russia's desire to be friends with Europe countless times and forced Russia into the only move it had left - to build itself up militarily, in as much isolation as America could create for it. But it wasn't supposed to succeed god damnit! The Americans fucking *HATE* that Russia actually economically grew so much and militarily developed so god damn much over such short time. And they *hate* that their sactions didn't work, that they can't just make the world dance at their whim anymore. The Americans reliably play their hand like absolute dicks, and I'm glad their gambits fail. Fuck the Americans (I'm talking about those in power, not you guys. I love you guys).

I don't think Russia needed help from the US to behave as it has. Over the last 100 years, it's been a threat to its own population, and its neighboring countries. No matter the hand played by the US, I think it would have kept behaving the same way.

I'd like to open open YouTube links in Brave instead of the YouTube app on #amethyst - is that possible?

When #Nostr gains widespread acceptance, we won't need tools like Buffer, Hoot Suite, or Sprout Social anymore.

Love this headline because it captures a real shift in the bitcoin mining community.

Gone are the days when bitcoin mining companies tried to apologetically defend themselves.

They are now counterpunching with interest.

This strategy only works because there is now a huge body of peer-reviewed research, independent reports, revisions to old models (Bloomberg Intelligence and Cambridge), and narrative flips from previous antagonists (UN, WEF, Financial Times) now supporting Bitcoin’s environmental merits.

Yes, not just saying “it’s not that bad” like in the past but saying either “it is, or has the realistic potential to be very net-positive for the environment.”

Bitcoin mining companies are simply no longer taking 101-level nonsense from misinformed legacy NGOs, who have made no effort to learn about bitcoin or engage with bitcoin miners, and instead continue to peddle myths that are out-of-date, out-of-evidence and frankly out-of-integrity (funded by Ripple’s chair to run a smear campaign)

GreenpeaceUSA had the chance at the start of this year to review their anti-bitcoin campaign’s (many) mistakes and failures and reach out to the bitcoin community. But have chosen instead to double down on more misinformation, more mistakes, and with it even more loss of credibility with a generation of crypto-native millennials - the very people it should be cultivating as its future base.

We are no longer talking about a difference of opinion, we are talking about a grassroots movement of Bitcoiners who have taken the time to understand the nuances of a technology deeply, and a UUHNWI-funded former grassroots movement called GreenpeaceUSA who has not.

You were a big reason of this shift. Keep up the good work!

gm, after a nice interlude, back to our usual program. Onwards!

I don't usually watch the news. But I did this morning. And it was about the Russian "elections."

I find it very hard to watch the way they present these "elections" when they're just a joke, as everyone knows.

Why even pretend?

It's a dictator who rigged another event. There's no meaning at all for anyone. It doesn't matter he got over 87% of "votes."

We shouldn't even broadcast his propaganda speech. We shouldn't give him a tribune to speak to.

Anyway, I'm not going to watch the news tomorrow.

I've bought #bitcoin twice in 2 days. LFG.
