Merry Christmas 🎄🎉
Not all hope is lost, found this on normie social media:

That doesn't happen on #Nostr 😎
Man, that would be amazing...
Me: Set up a lottery miner a few hours ago.
Me, now: "Damn, still no block found."
😅
I can't get a link to a guide right now but searching for Ocean + coinos could give you a hint. The main "issue" (or not) with ocean is that you need a bolt12 ln invoice, if you run a CLN node it's easy, if not, you need some kind of proxy that let you create that bolt12 invoice, coinos is the default setup many people is using and you could connect with nostr with NWC and zap with your mining btc.
So...
- First, you need a wallet you own and can sign with it
- Then you need to create a BOLT12 invoice (coinos)
- Sign with your wallet a messages and configured in Ocean
I get some kind of tutorial: https://stacker.news/items/851025
Docs from ocean: https://ocean.xyz/docs/lightning
Hope this help you in case you want to use that.
Thanks, man.
I couldn't zap this note, so I zapped your address directly.
Thanks for the insights.
I'd rather get a regular stream of sats, however small, that I could use for zaps. But I don't want to change my Start9 setup right now.
So, I just set up Public Pool, and I'm lottery mining:
But you said I may not need Knots - do you have a guide to share for that? I could look into it next.
Mining Bitcoin 🫡

Public Pool from my Start9.
What a great reply 🫡
As a funny note, I'm French, too 😅
Anyway, feel free to get in touch for wholesale pricing or any question about the product.
Best of luck with Bitcoin Butlers!
Building something to make Bitcoin self custody so simple, configurable and beautiful, that there’s no excuse to still be a slave.
Grateful to people, like nostr:nprofile1qqsqfjg4mth7uwp307nng3z2em3ep2pxnljczzezg8j7dhf58ha7ejgprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2aqnz0fd0, who share their valuable time giving critical feedback at the early stages.
https://www.bitcoinbutlers.com/concierge/master
It will be a platform to enable Bitcoiners to monetize their Bitcoin knowledge. No kyc, no bank account needed, just PoW and a Lightning address for those selected.
I will white label self custody tools:
- Seed Generation:
Metal Codex32
Seed picker cards
Entropia pills
- Seed in Use:
Metal Seed Signers (plus)
3D printed Seed Signers
Coldcard Q, Mk4, Blockstream Jade & Jade Plus, Passport
- Seed at Rest:
Custom single sig and multisig backup plates, can add Wars for partial or full wallet descriptors privately or for you to etch further.
One convenient spot, configure what you think is the best concierge document, share it with friends or family. I will make all of the content conditionally render, they can buy all the tools (if they want) and buy butlers and my time (if they want).
No more obscure payment amounts, unstructured content, limited options hidden behind 15-30 min exploratory calls.
Bitcoin self custody and concierge will be forever changed.
If you want to help, or follow along. You can see my NOSTR handle here:
nostr:nprofile1qqsxw5qspw70g7x7lk9fch588vh8nk8uz2es7l25exyy78tvxd4n8cgh4nk9c
Or watch me ship publicly week in and week out. Cheers Bitcoiners!
Sounds nice! Would you be open to take a look at seedkeys.XYZ for a metal backups option? I launched it a couple of months ago.
Watched Avatar 3 with the family. Surprised on how fast it went. Not boring one bit.
I received my #bitaxe earlier this month.
Now just trying to select a pool. And I'm too late to join the Alliance from nostr:nprofile1qqs9kqvr4dkruv3t7n2pc6e6a7v9v2s5fprmwjv4gde8c4fe5y29v0sppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0gjy0fu
Looking at:
- Ocean for LN rewards (but needs Knots, which I don't want on my main and only node for now)
- Solo CK
- Public Pool (on my Start9)
Any recommendations?

Thanks Oscar and team.
A couple of comments, from a Zapstore user:
1. Each time I download a Fountain update, it takes a very long time. The download is always incremental by 2% and slow. I updated Brave this morning, which is more than twice the size in MB, but its download was faster than Fountain's. It'd be nice to improve this.
2. It would also be nice to see a changelog and bug fixes in the latest release.
I'll try the new version soon. Thanks, again.
New Minibits with Tap-to-pay is live on Android!
- Reads a cashu requests or lightning invoices via NFC and pays instantly
- Shares invoices or cashu tokens (emulating NFC host) so you can even tap two Minibits wallets
Prototype intended for testing w POS devices, that have their NFC antennas on front side but nevertheless very funny to play with 🚀 !
Very early, test with few sats only.

Qu'est-ce qu'on dit à Christine? Non, merci!
I don't have Peter's reach, of course, but I want to do the same in French. Same symptoms in the Hexagon.
I really like the temporary chat feature on Venice AI!
I can ask any question on my smartphone, and the PWA forgets it after. No more having to select and delete all chats.

Of course, I can save the chat if I want to.
Very cool.

Every Nostr event leaves me fired up and even more bullish on all of you, on this community and everything we’re building together. We’re connected by more than random npubs and shared cryptography. We’re more than just GMs and PVs.
We’re a social layer, a collective of people who see the world clearly and understand what the future can become if we keep pushing.
So we build.
We build software.
We build services.
We build content.
We build relationships.
I met so many amazing Nostriches and Bitcoiners last week. Some for the first time, and others I hadn’t seen in far too long. Thank you all for the memories and an incredible week. My family and I loved every moment we spent with you.

Drop by if you're around Tokyo Bitcoin Base today.
International banking sucks.
So much so that I decided to use nostr:npub1yul83qxn35u607er3m7039t6rddj06qezfagfqlfw4qk5z5slrfqu8ncdu to convert from THB to BTC to EUR, instead of just making a transfer
Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great today. I easily converted THB to BTC, using the same seller as usual.
But after, I had to cancel 2 trades:
- First one because the buyer pretended to have sent the money, and tried to send me to a third party platform, to "accept" the funds...
- Second one because the seller wouldn't honor their own rate from HodlHodl, trying to haggle a better deal for themselves...
I guess I should have been more careful picking up an offer. I mostly looked at the price. But their success rate was not in the 90s. And they'd made very few trades.
I'm still learning.
But I wasted so much time on this. And I haven't managed to convert from BTC to EUR, yet. Plus, the price of Bitcoin is falling down, so I may lose on that, too, and not even get the amount I planned for in the first place.
On to the next.

Yesterday, I finished reading Hidden Repression by nostr:npub1trr5r2nrpsk6xkjk5a7p6pfcryyt6yzsflwjmz6r7uj7lfkjxxtq78hdpu
The foreword by nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe hit me hard! My 2 favorite quotes:
"[W]e've created a world that requires people to literally gamble on where to place their money to avoid it losing its purchasing power, and then we wonder why our world looks the way it does."
"The rule of law doesn't protect citizens from the manipulation of money."
Then, Alex's text was easy to read. But it was quite short (or it felt like it, as I read it quickly).
The content mostly enraged me, and I couldn't sleep afterward.
I'm still reeling from the experience.
What's most astonishing to me is that the IMF and WB are getting away with such a shocking and disturbing behavior, under the guise of benevolence or security. It's all just a facade for neocolonial exploitation.
And most people in the West are completely oblivious to it. Why aren't more people talking about this? Why aren't we demanding change?
The final chapter felt slightly off to me. I understand the intention was likely to conclude on a hopeful note, and to introduce Bitcoin as the peaceful solution. But it felt somewhat disconnected from the previous chapters. And it makes me hesitant to share the book with skeptical friends and family. They'll probably dismiss the book's important messages because of it.
But all in all, great book, and highly recommended.
