Jewish term for non-jews, so basically cattle/subhumans since only Jews are "god's chosen people".

Sigh, it seems that MinIO exceeded the tolerable amount of bullshit for open core projects as well:

IEMs are so awesome, never looking back.

Trying to hook one of my clients on more modern collaboration tooling by onboarding him to Github and showing him how we could work on a Project Kanban board.

He’s heavily invested in the entire Microsoft ecosystem so selling him on Github could provide a good point of entry even though it’s still feeding the behemoth.

They eventually replied and were super helpful and friendly. I should be more patient with them. 🧘‍♂️

I'm in talks with the owner of a small house with a large garden who might rent me her house in the middle of nowhere for really cheap. In return I’d be allowed (but not required to!) learn to fix up some stuff and do maintenance. She’s heavily into DIY and doesn’t care much about perfection, especially on the first try.

I could basically do whatever I want there, unless it’d ruin existing parts of nature (so no cutting down trees, no non-organic fertilzers, stuff I wouldn’t want to do anyways).

Currently waiting for some pictures of the inside since she’s no longer living in Germany and a friend of her’s is taking care of it for now who is currently on vacation.

If it doesn’t show obvious signs of mold or decay that I could never dream of fixing myself, I’ll definitely see it in person soon.

I’m excited. 🙏

This stuff has me looking forward to moving closer to nature and more into remote areas. Imagine waking up to dozens of these just humming along, having suffient space for effective placement and no one giving a 🦆 about what you’re up to.

Hey nostr:npub1xsgymm0ne3vndqpvsvy285qfpu59049t5n5twg9vetmt92cyn95snyzazx, wouldn't it be a cool use of AI to make it possible to filter our listicles from your results?

Did anyone compare their Drive product from 2019 to today? 6 years in, still no search, no Linux client, no trivial import from US products. What did this money accomplish?

4500 sats for a big Americano.

Guess my favorite café doesn't want customers anymore.

"Neurospicy" is a huge red flag, right?

Its an M2 13" with 8 cores, 512GB SSD, 24GB RAM.

Can relate. Got a bit lazy and had an LLM do something simple for me only to then spend 30 minutes debugging the shit out of it when it would've taken me 5 minutes to do it myself. 🫠

I'm not following. What info do you need?

Love my M2, haven't used a 15" Air though. Love the portability of the 13".

If you'll handle 4k video in the future, the Airs might throttle due to lack of active cooling.

I’m on a maxxed out M2 with 24GB RAM right now. Never let me down in almost 2 1/2 years and I prefer to it the M4 MBP I had at my last employer. Doing local devops/software engineering/local LLM stuff on it. Some containers, VMs, minor graphical touchups.

Paid ~2200EUR for it with AppleCare. You can get a used one (starting at 512GB storage) for 1000EUR now. M3 really isn’t worth it. The M4 are quite powerful (+2 efficiency/performance cores) and you get proper Thunderbolt 4 support to run more than 1 external display.

> Because of legal uncertainty around Swiss government proposals(new window) to introduce mass surveillance — proposals that have been outlawed in the EU — Proton is moving most of its physical infrastructure out of Switzerland. Lumo will be the first product to move.

I haven't read into Pass Keys at all since they launched.

Are you using them?

The way all the big players are pushing for them has me sceptical.

But it might just save them from having to deal with thousands daily account compromises so maybe they aren’t bad and I shouldn’t infer malicious intent by association.

Spent hours iterating over a skeleton repo for my new blog.

Built a Github Actions > Docker Container > Helm Chart > Kubernetes Deployment pipeline for the new blog and website.

Completely refactored my infrastructure monorepo.

Upgraded all helm chart versions, migrated a test app from nginx-ingress to nginx-gateway (the new “better ingress API” for Kubernetes), all containers now run unprivileged.

Finalized texts, translations, structure and visuals of the company website I’ll launch soon.

I haven’t even used up the 5USD bonus I got for paying 10USD.

You have to help it out sometimes, you have to be clear in your instructions but once you’ve got the hang of it, it feels like you have your own JARVIS.

One of my favorite Ozzy albums is The Ultimate Sin and that thing is older than me.

I’ve been wanting to launch a new blog for so long and I’ve drafted so much stuff that’s about 90-95% finished but I never made time to work out a nice hugo theme and I never liked the existing ones.

With Citrine and 15USD of prepaid Moonshot AI’s K2 I used up 2,5USD(!) for a fully customized, easily extendable, nicely designed Hugo theme + helm chart + flux gitops deployment. 90% was basically just vibed into existence.

Now I’ll just have to spent a few hours on polishing up those drafts, bring them in shape, dump them into the repo and start working on making it good enough to publish the blog.
