Ppl are going to hate this, but if you want a censorship resistant means of mapping ip’s to pubkeys or vanity names, I can tell think of a distributed ledger that can handle that…

We need a kind number for podcast episodes!

I’ve played around with it a bit and considered displaying farcaster posts in a nostr client. May be fun to try

I heard some Vc guys talking about something similar a few weeks back. It would be a group chat app where periodically all identities are randomized. That way you would still have “trusted” groups where you know everyone in it, but, you don’t know the identity of any individual sending a message. The hope is that this would allow for a more free discussion of ideas without opening the door to a bunch of spam and trolls.

Jack Conte has some great takes. I think watching some of the keynotes he’s done over the past few years are super insightful when working on Nostr projects

nostr:npub1rdw87tu23al8afmhtpul6qksnrdka3vgz9zjrudpah7v6c6url5s82qyr4 that’s a really good question. It got me thinking and I started writing… It became much more of a essay about nostr and bluesky’s growth over the last year…

So here it is: nostr:note19f0dqr8g5sq8g9yh5lvd66cxddhydz2gakvs5qqdnv6ekynpz4gqq89dnj

And if your client doesn’t display long form content: https://njump.me/note19f0dqr8g5sq8g9yh5lvd66cxddhydz2gakvs5qqdnv6ekynpz4gqq89dnj

Wow, thanks for the detailed response!

Bluesky’s letting you post gifs… well not actually post gifs, just choose to embed a few gifs from a preselected list, but soon they say they’ll figure out media uploads.

When I see stuff like this I realize that there are so many ways in which Nostr is far ahead of the other protocols. In others we’ve got work todo, but, for all it’s faults Nostr has the most interesting ecosystem.

Why do you think blue sky has been able to acquire so many more users than nostr? What do you think are the main UX wins when using Bluesky vs nostr atm?

As long as your eating >1g protein per lb of body weight and you’re in a caloric surplus you’ll put on muscle. In my experience though my energy levels in the gym are just much less when eating low carb.

IMO, intensity during workouts is one of the most important factors that ppl overlook

I at least give farcaster some credit in that dwr is fairly transparent about farcaster’s lack of decentralization
