Mandou São Domingos e Santo Antonio contra os cátaros;
Mandou São Francisco contra os corruptos;
Mandou Santo Inácio de Loyola contra os protestantes...
Os santos são os enviados de Deus para nos redirecionar ao caminho correto e fazem isso, primeiramente, convertendo-se a si mesmos antes de apontar os erros dos outros.
Hoje o que vemos são apontadores de erros, pretensiosos reformadores da Igreja; verdadeiros candidatos a Lutero II.
Sobra soberba e falta humildade. Caridade não se encontra em suas palavras.
Antes de reformar a Igreja, reformemos a nós mesmos.

As a recently recovered Catholic (few more than a year), if I may suggest you, focus on reading the scriptures, History of the Church and the writings of the early Church Fathers, stick to the sacraments, especially Confession. Do it for real. Prepare with a deep conscience exam, repent and go with a contrite heart.
More important: STAY OUT OF POLEMICS.
Jesus changes our lives, but it's quite easy to fall if we don't keep improving our spiritual life.
Read the saints' life and chose one you identify the most to inspire you (mine is St. Augustine).
History of the Church by Daniel-rops is probably the greatest and trustable historical source. It's a 10 volumes collection.
If I may suggest also, read the Catechism of St. Pius X. It's the most direct and objective for new converters.
Unfortunately I'm not able to recommend social media sources in English, but if you're Catholic, stick to Catholic sources.

There are a lot of St. Augustine quotations on St. Thomas Aquinas works. I'm pretty sure he is the most quoted.
Maybe you are familiarized with the Catena Aurea, a compilation of commentaries by the Church fathers. There are plenty quotes arguing the necessity of the Sacraments by authors like St. Jerome, St. John Chrysostom, St. Beda...
