We at nostr:npub1s3ht77dq4zqnya8vjun5jp3p44pr794ru36d0ltxu65chljw8xjqd975wz have reached another milestone, on our way to #Alexandria v 0.1.0 (Gutenberg edition).
We have printed the entire Bible using 30040/30041 notes and made them available for you to peruse, using a pre-release of our Nostr client. The books are broken down by chapter. Breakdowns by verse will be delivered with the beta release. In addition, we have printed "Jane Eyre", so that you get some idea of how quickly a full-length novel can load. We are working on making it faster, with pagination, but this is already surprisingly quick.
You can't yet use the client to upload books (please use the e-book CLI, for that), and it's all a bit buggy and wonky, but we have already implemented a first pass at the Visualization page.

Of all #nostr projects this has got to be one of the most exciting.

Does anything prevent us all from running out own instances of the bridge? I find it super useful to have some Mastadon content on Nostr.

How far did you get with this? I am thinking of the same.
IMO any business model that can be run on the net can be run better on Nostr.
I'd say we celebrate those early nostriches that got profitable. Nostr.wine and nostr:nprofile1qqsv73dxhgfk8tt76gf6q788zrfyz9dwwgwfk3aar6l5gk82a76v9fgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skctcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0dutak6 for example.
I can't speak to that, but I can solve for it!
I also think there is a set of needs that power users have, e.g. if they are controlling multiple accounts, or teams of people or agents, where having a notifs solution has benefits beyond simply having regular client notifs.
E.g. for me, I have an AI Assistant active and hope to make him an Agent soon. I don't have him loaded to a client, but I do want to know if he posts. So, I can keep him in my "notify if posts" list and it gives me that oversight.
A few people asked for other kinds of notifs too. Like notify on replies to a bookmarked post, or when someone starts streaming. I think all of that could be built.

You must specify the public key in hex format. And you must also specify the correct json.

You may be interested. I just published some push notification workflows which use lists. E.g. push notify me if anyone on this list makes a post.
And because it's based on lists, automagically amethyst allows me to browse that same feed, and everyone I add gets notified in their mentions 🤯
