Personally, I'd still invest in it for home because it protects everything from moisture and movement. Also, I really like my various interests to be stored so that I can grab and go.

I don't/won't buy fancy photography equipment but if I did, I'd probably pack it in Pelican dry boxes, to protect it from moisture, as well as from being dropped. I'm exceedingly clumsy and need protection from myself. On one #canoeing trip, my paddling partner protected everything valuable in that manner, including crystal glassware for his nightly shots of Scotch!
