The power of inflation

I have always been aware of inflation but it took me a while to realise that it was a scam because back then Bitcoin did not exist and it was difficult to access economic literature.

I still remember when I was a kid and my father would tell me how much his first cinema tickets, his first bicycle, his first car or his first house had cost him. We knew that prices were going up but we didn't understand why.

From an early age you are taught that you have to save in the bank, and this is the big trap.

There are three types of people:

- Those who save in the bank.

- Those who invest to save themselves from inflation.

- Bitcoiners

The first ones are lost, they will spend their lives working and will have nothing at the end of their days apart from a house or two in the best case scenario.

The latter may achieve financial freedom, but their assets are expropriable by the government and irretrievably subject to taxation.

Bitcoiners, i.e. those who renounce the fiat system and deposit most of their wealth in Bitcoin, are simply Chads. Their wealth will be multiplied, they will be able to decide whether to work or not, they will be able to go to any part of the world they want without fear of having their assets confiscated, and they will create intergenerational wealth. But you have to start now, imagine starting with Bitcoin when you are 20 years old, you have a lifetime of opportunities.

Very good, just to add: there are actually four types.. the fourth is the one who doesn't or can't even save.. even more doomed than the one who saves in the bank.

The insights might be nice - afterwards (unless you're using the word insight as in vipassana, but this does not seem so looking at the context).

*During* meditation, they're distractions - just another thought.

I like thinking too, but nothing has brought me more peace than not thinking. It's hard to explain.

It doesn't make you dumb or simple-minded, although not being *able* to think/reason definitely will imo.

It's more about knowing what's truly important - I value tranquility and peace more, and not thinking so much brought more of that.

But it's not the absence of thought per se, the absence of thought is a manifestation of the real reason, a cultivation of concentration and insight (in the vipassana sense).

Actually for nearly every untrained mind, it's the exact opposite: they can't *stop* thinking (and worrying). Not a sane way to live.

To be perfectly able to think and reflect, but *choosing* momentto-moment awareness, this is the way.

Thinking has its time and place, but if thoughts run the person, the person is not in control. Thinking then becomes the master - the tool uses the user.

Typical emotional woman 😂

By the way, you just did spend the time and energy explaining it. Guess you couldn't control your emotions 😂

Said the woman on a phone invented by a man, built by technology invented by men, who had said phone shipped to her by wondrous machines devised and built by men, machines whose implementationfollowing laws of physics discovered by men, sheltering on a building constructed by men, posting on a platform invented by a man, using an app made by another man.

😂😂😂

Fascinating, but isn't the mint entirely custodial?

Anarcho Capitalism vs Crypto Anarchy & Agorism.

Anarcho Capitalism (abbreviated AnCap) is an openly advertised political movement that promotes free markets and an abolition of the state. Most AnCaps will OPENLY tell you they are part of this movement, and it shares many similarities with Libertarians. Libertarians and AnCaps only really differ on should the government run a socialized police force and army.

Crypto Anarchy (also called CypherPunk) is usually a SECRET lifestyle, where one rejects the concept of external government control and instead chooses individual self-sovereignty. This concept of freedom and subverting the power of the state, is often expressed through the use of privacy and encryption technology, cryptocurrencies, and even frequently traveling to other countries with multiple passports to reduce a single government’s control over the individual.

The main difference between Anarcho Capitalism (AnCap) and Crypto Anarchy (CypherPunk) is that AnCaps organize politically to encourage voting, while as Crypto Anarchy involves using technology to subvert the system. This could involve creating code to defy surveillance, trading cryptocurrency without regulations, not using left-wing social media platforms, or even some type of “illegal market” depending on who you ask. Although I personally think drug markets degrades the core philosophies from more wide-spread acceptance. Fearing being oppressed for their actions, CypherPunks place a much greater emphasis on privacy and open source than AnCaps.

The AnCap says to the CypherPunk, “How can you not vote?! We need you!”

The CypherPunk says to the AnCap, “How can you register to vote? You’re telling the NSA where you live?!”

How does Crypto Anarchy differ from Agorism?

Agorism is a general term for economics and a parallel society outside the control of government institutions. Like a CypherPunk, Agoras don’t think the voting will help. Instead of voting, Agorism focuses on individual entrepreneurship to add value to the community and fix yourself first.

Agoras differ from CypherPunks, in that Agoras usually aren’t as tech-savvy, but look to get outside the system through other means, such as growing their own food. For example “Sal the Agorist” is a popular Twitter account promoting gun ownership and growing your own food, but he sells ads for his Twitter account using a Gmail.

So a CypherPunk says to an Agorist “How can you use Big Tech?”

While an Agorist says to a CypherPunk “How can you eat Big Ag?”

Summarize each:

Anarcho Capitalism (AnCap)

Let’s spread the message of freedom through education, and vote to be free.

Logic and reason are the pillars upon which we build objective morality.

Agorism

Society will not change. Using cryptocurrencies we can create a parallel economy and community, to fix ourselves first.

Crypto-Anarchy (CypherPunk)

I was born free, and you can’t stop me from using encryption to stay free. Big Tech is the government’s puppet for surveillance and censorship.

What is the purpose of this? Are you going try to convince me to join?

No, I can’t convince you to become a Crypto Anarchist. You have to self-realize it on your own.

Love your posts man, keep it up 👍

Looks like he's picked up a few soaps already, damn.

I would only change your last sentence.

Lightning is a hot wallet, and by extension (besides being ruggable), so is ecash.

Monero is always there on L1, always ready, and always private and anonymous.

And yeah, only the idealogues who clearly believe themselves to be so much smarter than what they actually are and the ignorant people who do not understand the value of financial privacy cannot see that.
