NGU is only a component of the maxi derangement syndrome the way I see it, in that it is what they cling to in order to assert their superiority (ego grasping), because obviously they're so smart and right since Bitcoin tends to overperform everything else.

His point is that maxis use XMR/BTC to denigrate XMR whichever ways it goes (up or down vs BTC), not that BTC is a better store of value historically and presently, which everyone knows.

I think it will be <1% and because of the lack of privacy (who is hosted and self-custodial can be discerned from the transparency) those of us who self-custody will be considered high-risk and subject to insane scrutiny whenever interacting with aboveground institutions.
