I believe it is a "solo" miner, so it can't join a pool :/

Still very cool, and I'll probably pick one up.

Good luck, my friend.

Open-source, low-power bitcoin miner that is relatively cheap. It's hash rate is respectable given the small investment to run one. But, the chance of siccessfully mining a block is like winning the lottery. One did just mine a block, so it can be done, though.

#SolarBit will enable 100% self-sufficient, fully automated offgrid mining with a #bitaxe, powered by the sun. 🌞⛏️

But, how does that work?

Well, it's an automated Suntracker which will wake up in the morning, position the panel towards the sun and adjust itself based on the suns movement, so the panel can produce the most energy which will power the Bitaxe and charge the battery.

The charging controller unit regulates the battery and turns off the miner if there's not enough juice left so it can start again once the sun comes out again.

In case of rain detection, the tracker will enter rain mode and position the panel horizontally to protect the components and add wind resistance.

The base design still needs a bit of polishing, then it's time to design the accessories like the balcony mount and do some test prints.

Very cool design!

Would be really viable if Bitaxe wasn't a solo miner :/

Ye is an interesting guy. I know he was publicly embarrassed by his previous wife's immodesty. I wonder if this is some kind of argumentum ad absurdum to the point?

I beleive Mutiny Wallet integrated Fediment, a kind of custodial lightning web of trust, for ease of onboarding.

If I had to guess, the issue might be related to this.

I was looking into self-hosting Mutiny and saw that Fediment was going to be the only option I could implement, and I ran in the other direction.

Gotcha. I'm not complaining. The fact that links open my Youtube front end and play is probably preferable. I was just shocked.

Thanks for responding!

So good. Somehow elegant and crude at the same time, while hitting the nail right on the head.
