In the bible, it is said that those who do not work should not eat - but I've often wondered - how and why many of those who don't work in third world countries still eat. It's because of gambling.

Gambling with only 2 numbers, each 1 to 46. An old person goes around town or a community asking people to place their bets. a 1 peso bet could win 700. 2, 1400.

The gambling baron here is none other than the local government leader.

Marginalization and Minorities - the human condition

Where there is a power structure - even just between two human beings, one would exert power over the other. Eventually, humans multiply. One faster than the other, oftentimes the oppressed (or the one power is exerted over) become many. And the many, then start to realize that there is strength in numbers - with sufficient leadership, they then overcome the powerful, by being powerful themselves.

Meanwhile, whilst examining an app... 😮

The phrase is actually deeper. Going back to this, here's the entire passage:

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

it's the same old story when it comes to farms in the philippines. farmers are a dying breed - and the youth no longer want to do it. it's hard, tough, hot - and you lose a lot of money.

So today, farmers are selling their lands to subdivision developers - at the bottom of the barrel are opportunisitic politicians.

Am I brave enough or strong enough to fight against my monsters?

Unfortunately, that does not invalidate the need for politics or religion. Both exist because humans controlling other humans is inherent in our nature. Anarchy only exists in the paradigm of order. Where two human beings exist - one must control the other.

For the first time since 2016 - we actually had guests in our place. We did not earn much - mostly just selling coconuts and food, but it feels good to have guests again using the place.

Master of ... ?

I've always been a jack of many trades, but as I grew older, I find that certain tasks have to be delegated to others.

In my late 20s I worked like a Carabao (Filipino version of an Ox)

I carried logs, chopped wood, etc - things I used to put in my CV - to my dismay.

Today, I dearly love my job with a Bitcoin company. But real life, sometimes gets back at you, and you have to step away from the screen and go under the sun.

I told myself, maybe I can multi-task, do this, and then at night try to do that - it doesn't work anymore. I can't think 100% when I work physical, and I can't work that much physical if I have to focus on thinking and writing.

So, life comes to a choice - the choice of the Jack of Many Trades - to choose just one, and be good at it. Delegate the other.

I chose the computer.

I should probably make a pseudonym, there are many things in my chest that I have let out.

I like that way of thinking about things.

Clever marketing ploy or threat?

Somebody used my email address to sign up for CallofDuty.

Since the emails were getting forwarded to me (I don't click them).

I went to hopefully the right website, callofduty.com, and reset the email address.

Their emails keep getting on my Spam folder.

To reset password, I need to click on a link from email.

Seems to be successful. Now what?

Resting after a full day of work. And there's a wedding in our next door neighbor. Playing their sound so loud. and lol, we were not invited.

Can a wallet be really non-custodial if a provider requires KYC before providing the private keys?
