Someone tried to gotcha me with "how do we use bitcoin without electricity or internet" and I sent them nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc 's article here where it talks about doing SHA256 by hand https://dergigi.com/2021/08/02/implications-of-outlawing-bitcoin/

Is it really so weird to think we could do bitcoin by hand on paper? Everything used to be that way. Just because math is involved for bitcoin doesn't make it less useful on paper. It actually makes it more useful because the math can be verified. I don't think it is likely that we ever need to do bitcoin by hand but it isn't unreasonable to think we could.

Imagine the difficulty adjustment after the power goes out tho 🤣

How do you verify gold without electricity or the internet?

I guess it's triggering me and I don't even care about inscriptions. I'm just arguing for proper application of code terminology and the preservation of meaningful definitions.

Okay, so is your definition that it's a bug if it allows for undesirable user behavior? Seems quite expansive. For SMTP I'd argue it's just missing a feature to mitigate or prevent spam. The word I would use there is "exploit". But I wouldn't say exploits and bugs are the same thing.

I think it depends on the definition of "bug". I define it as code not working as expected. I don't define it as users of the code using it in unexpected ways.

I am not experienced enough to know what makes for a good one, but I was given a Yihua 853d and it gets the job done. I've used it mostly for desoldering along with a pump and wick. I like that it has power aux out option.

I'd recommend getting a complete SMD rework station for maximum versatility. Power control is important.

As each day passes

Bitcoin is made sure

It's how bitcoin works. Nodes run the rules they agree with. Luke might have a bit of a contrarian take on what should be allowed, but if the majority of miners mine blocks agreeing with his rules, and it's the most PoW chain, then it's bitcoin. Time will tell.

They have the "shoot this" chip. Easy, sign a sweep, and then shoot it.

Opendimes are cool and cyberpunk, but satscard maybe more affordable for larger quantities.

And I'm over here always saying, "I wish companies would just raise prices to combat shrinkflation."
