Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the beautiful free market system of ideas that is (lowercase) science.
I take issue with the centralized communistic system that is (uppercase) Science.
I appreciate this data coming out, but I thought it was pretty apparent about a month into the pandemic that the masking was bullshit.
But rather than ask those who saw through the facade what thought systems they used to recognize the bullshit more quickly, we continue to TrUsT tHe ScIEnCe.
Defaulting to what humans have evolved to do, breathing unobstructed and fighting diseases with a healthy body, is the baseline.
Masking, vaccines, and social distancing require a massive burden of proof that was simply never compelling enough for me personally.
Takeaways they SHOULD have from the pandemic:
-Have faith in the resilience of the human body and take good care of yourself.
Takeaways they DO have from the pandemic:
-ScIeNcE HaRdEr
Now don't you big city folk go talkin' bad about my Fargo, North Dakota accent!
Thanks goverment! As a stupid, wrong-thinking individual, I'm not capable of bearing this heavy burden 🙄

Perfect time for a smash buy 😎

Which one of you just sold?

I knew you were a man of class, but damn bro, that's sweet ❤️
There seems like there is a pretty big cross over between a few of those. I love the cross pollination of ideas that happens when pursuing multiple things like this in tandem.
How would you rank them?
The same things that usually do: reading, writing, bjj, yoga, lifting, chess, guitar, dog, wife. Not necessarily in that order 😆
I'm so excited, my wife and I have our first one the way, just a couple months out now 🙌
Me whenever a financial advisor comes into the office to explain how index funds investing and 401ks works.

Me watching it all burn down 🔥🔥🔥

I just came to this weird realization that we live in the time of a perfect money that can move across boarders in your brain... while we also all have the ability to aquire a massive amount of debt, then flee.
I love the US and I'm rooting for it as a country to handle this process well. I have no intention of doing anything remotely like this.
But you've gotta think that some savvy plebs will take advantage of this incentive. Especially the more clear it becomes the dollar is failing.
Thought experiment: You are fed up with your country and planning to permanently leave. The only thing you plan to bring with you is the clothes on your back and a seed phrase in your brain.
Would you take on a bunch of credit card debt and loans (with no intention to pay it back) to buy as much bitcoin as possible? How much bitcoin do you think you could aquire in this manner?
I've broken some of my longer fasts with marrow and it's disagreed with me.
That stuff is carnivore cochise, but for whatever reason I can't do it then 🤷♂️
Nah bro, love the meme, but the quality of thinking on Nostr is high into the upper quartile.
We smart AF over here 🧠😎
The numbers are one thing, but the sentiment that I'm feeling from my friends in the real estate industry is TERRIFYING.
Things are right on the cusp of breaking and jobs are about to get lost.
I have no idea what will happen to the markets, but the industry constructed on top of the crazy home sales volume is on the brink.
I just make every day leg day, then I can't dread leg day any more than I dread other days.

It's continually surprising to me how little most software engineers think about broader financial incentives.
It's common for programmers I work with to dedicate tons of time cleaning up minor features that don't produce value to users. Our work as developers is part of a broader ecosystem, technologies rise and fall because of economic factors that are not directly correlated to how pretty our code looks.
Often times, even though we desire perfection, it's better to accept that small pieces will have flaws, instead focusing our scarce resource of attention elsewhere.
This has been the hardest macro-skill of software development to learn for me. It's the artful balance between making the codebase beautiful and accepting that the evolutionary system of the market will tell us which parts of our labors deserve to live on.
It's the process of building. It's the process of life itself.
It's absolutely beautiful.
