We're a nomadic family living full time in a van. We seek as much freedom this way as is possible for us in today's world. We are anarchists, hippies and nomads. Come with us on an amazing journey through life, because life is just awesome :). We share our findings and reflections from nomadic life on the youtube channel "Karel od Martiny" in Czech language. https://creatr.nostr.wine/subscribe/npub1y2se87uxc7fa0aenfqfx5hl9t2u2fjt4sp0tctlcr0efpauqtalqxfvr89

Klasika. Fabrika, ktera zamestnava deti v rozvojovych zemich za 5 dolaru na den dělá pro ty deti o 5 dolaru denne vic, nez vsichni aktiviste, kteri proti tomu zbroji.

Animal encounters during traveling (and I did not capture the dolphins and many others). Biology lessons live :).

Is this normal behaviour of Habla comments? nostr:npub10awzknjg5r5lajnr53438ndcyjylgqsrnrtq5grs495v42qc6awsj45ys7

Well, this is weird. I published this as a comment under one article on habla.news and now it appears on my profile with no context (so it looks like I published it as a normal Note).

Thank you very much, I think I'm starting to feel like trying habla soon.

Well yes. For everyone who wants (in other words, who is willing to put some effort into it)

I've been thinking recently and I thought - do we really need and want mass adoption? Shouldn't we be more of a parallel platform?

I often see Nostr users writing "the local community is wonderful, full of love and enthusiasm" or "people on Nostr are so much nicer than on Twitter". If you consider these things (like a healthy community without hatred) as decisive advantages of nostr, don't forget that you will lose this advantage by mass adoption. The atmosphere here will then be as rotten as it is today on Twitter.

If we remained a parallel community with some organic entry selection (only people willing to think of their souvereignity will get here) wouldn't that be better in the end?

I do not know the answer, just thinking.

Can't you see the little moon in the middle and the two stars around it? :)

Anyway, we're not fighting mosquitoes. We figured that a never-ending battle with mosquitoes would mean diminishing our freedom more than we'd like. It's in the little things - one would have to constantly close and open the mosquito net, which is really huge for the whole side door, then it would discourage us from going out and in whenever we want, we would be constantly dealing with "close!", "don't open", "pull the mosquito net!", "let the dog inside", "let the kids inside" and that sort of thing.

They're small things, but it kind of takes away the feeling of moving organically between the van and the fireplace, between the outside and the inside (which is important to us, because being stuck inside behind a mosquito net with two kids and a giant dog isn't exactly cool - that is why we do not like winter either, because it is crucial for us to live inside and outside at the same time with the doors wide open).

Oh, and also... two kids and a dog... not very compatible with a thin, easily torn net.

I much more prefer to think of mosquito bites as meditation training now. One just needs to learn to ignore the illusory need to scratch (it's a useless signal anyway).

Sometimes I have good days, sometimes weaker :).

And then, of course, there are places that are unbearably infested with mosquitoes, but even a van with a mosquito net can't handle those places - no one wants to be cooped up inside all the time.

Chilling evening atmosphere at our place (classical van and teepee combo) with beautiful stars and moon. Lets make some fire.

I just found myself on a list of “Suggested popular nostr accounts” under section “parenting”. Feels like winning some sort of price :).

Take s look on others, if you want to find more people not posting only about bitcoin.

One thought that came to me in my last Ayuahuasca session is that we are only accountable to ourselves regarding the meaning and purpose of our lives. There will never be and has never been anyone to determine that meaning for us, it is up to us and us alone to stand before ourselves.

{:height 387, :width 673}

What I mean is that no state, authority, or parent can determine the worth of our lives. We are not answerable to society, authorities, or anyone else when it comes to our happiness.

Take a look at me. I am regarded as a failure by 80% of people. I have no money, my family and I live in a rusty van, I am a homeless person who has never accomplished anything, never had a career, does not have any normal money (just the weird bit-something) and smells. However, I should not be here to make an impression on others. I should not be here to prove to others that my life holds value (although it is sometimes hard to remember this). I am solely accountable to myself, and currently, I am more satisfied with myself than I have ever been, regardless of whether I succeeded in the film industry (in which I was participating before), built a house, or accumulated wealth. If these things hold no significance to me, there is no reason to have them in my life just because they are expected.

Likewise, we should not impose these false expectations on our children. There is no predefined right path in life. Each individual must find their own path that brings them contentment, and they will always be responsible for their own journey. Nobody else is capable of evaluating it, not even us - parents.

Try following us for a week, we plan to post more stuff next few days. Topics: traveling, vanlife, kids, unschooling, biohacking, anarchy, freedom.

Martina and I have been intrigued by the biohacker community lately (me more than Martina, I guess :) ). We've enjoyed the holistic approach of techniques to make our lives a more energetic, sustainable and fulfilling ride.

However, we soon ran into a problem. Our ascetic lifestyle is not very consistent with acquiring all sorts of technological gadgets, expensive nutritional supplements, or other typical biohacker products. So we got to thinking - is it really necessary to spend half of our monthly income on biohacking?

My guess is no. I think that many people starting out with biohacking immediately jump on the most expensive tech gadgets, yet they are far from having figured out things they can start doing for free and immediately.

Let's start with the cheapest biohacking - Focus not on what new things to get, but instead on what things to cut out of your life. What things to stop buying. Who knows, you might even save money in the end.

Here are some ideas:

- Stop eating junk food.

Junk food is not only demonstrably unhealthy, but even prohibitively expensive. Junk food is the worst price/performance combination ever. At a high price, it will even give you negative performance. It harms you, it takes away your energy, it paralyses you. One of the worst business deals ever.

- Buy only water.

Flavored, over-sweetened sodas and alcohol also give you negative benefits at too high a price. By cutting out these things and replacing them with plain water, you not only save money, but also extend the quality and length of your life.

- Meditate.

That's a classic. One of the best free biohacks. Just sit back, breathe, and you're off.

- Exercise.

Exercise with your own body weight, do yoga, run... you don't need a gym membership or expensive equipment right away.

- Keep fasting.

Much has been written about the benefits of fasting. Moreover, this biohack is not only zero cost, but even negative. You actually make money from not having to buy any food at all and you get better antifragility and maybe even health.

- Go to bed on time.

Also, don't look at your phone before bed and get the best quality sleep you can. You'll have plenty of free energy the next day.

- Walk and cycle.

Need to get somewhere in the city? Ride a bike. You'll save money on public transport and get valuable extra exercise at the same time. And it's not too time-consuming either, you just need to make a small mindset shift: if you didn't bike, you'd still have to reserve the time later the day to get some exercise, right?

- Learn proper time management techniques.

Don't leave your phone on when you need to focus, schedule your day well, stop procrastinating and learn how to find flow states. It will save you a lot of time, energy, and mental health.

- Don't pay for Netflix.

You will save money and no one will try to steal your time that you can spend practicing or developing. Win Win.

- Don't go to Twitter, go to NOSTR

Not only will you move from a highly toxic environment with the mood of a post-apocalyptic, slowly disintegrating society to one that is building, enthusiastic and positive, but you can also make some money from it. Not only that. Zaps may not make you rich, but they have an excellent motivational ability to get you to write and also to think about whether what you're writing is of real value.

- If you can think of any other biohacking for free or with negative value, let me know in the comments :).

Thank you very much for your insight. I also started with carnivore a month ago and it actually helped me a lot to eliminate coffee. I used to drink coffee just to regain the energy that food took away from me. But now I don't have anything like that, I have lots of energy throughout the day and I don't even think about coffee (or sugar).

I also have a problem with my cell phone before bed.

Zvlast ted, kdyz z plebstru odstranili vetsinu veci, co mi vadily. Ale proti amethystu nic, ten je fakt dobrej.
