No one is going to get on board with not paying taxes because that invites violence from the state. Unions are already looked upon very unfavorably by the state. Law enforcement is used illegally for union busting. If you give them a legal reason to beat your ass and throw your in jail they will take it.
The fed is on its way to bankrupting itself. There is no need to fight it.
Until the bloated federal govt collapses under its own weight people will just have to get what they can through things like unions. They're only looking out for what's best for themselves. Calling them ignoramuses is not helpful and not true.
I don't really get what you're trying to say. I'm saying unions are a response to the issue. That's how they address it.
They understand it just fine. Money printing makes their real wage fall over time because employers don't give sufficient raises to make up the difference. An individual worker going to their manager with their hat in hand asking for a raise that keeps up with actual inflation will get laughed at. Collective action like strikes, while destructive to the economy and businesses, is one of the only tools workers have to get what they deserve.
I went to a new dispensary the other day and let them scan my driver's license and afterwards I wished I had asked them not to. They didn't even ask me if they could, they just went ahead and did it. Completely unnecessary for them to be collecting all the info on my license for me to buy some weed. Other dispensaries just check your birthday and hand it back. I'm disappointed in myself for not speaking up.

This is a trip. This storm sat in the middle of the Mediterranean gathering strength before blasting through the Libyan city of Derna. They are saying 20-30k are missing in a city of 100k. The storm hit four days ago in the middle of the night. Brutal.
