The big reason Nostr will succeed massively.

It isn't zaps, it isn't BTC dominance, it isn't just that it is unstoppable, nope.

The magic is that it is a protocol not a platform or an app. Platforms do shit like introduce a feature, people love it, then they just take it away, why, doesn't matter. Like say editing on twitter.

They ignore requests for relatively easy to use features as well. They censor sure but they do it arbitrarily. May be I want porn filtered, may be you don't, okay. May be we also want to talk to one another.

The beauty of Nostr is we can all get what we want. I can use an app/site or set of relays that filters out the porn, you can do otherwise but still see my posts.

Things like marketplaces, etc. there are tons of people working on stuff like this already, each in their own way. Nostr in time will rule all, because anyone using it can pick and choose how they use it but we can all still talk to each other.

Think of how many start ups mire down, never build the stuff they promised. Users become captive waiting for things that never come. You know like Flote?

Two years of "communities and marketplaces are coming". Two years of building up my following there. They finally get the new build out and it SUCKS worse then the old one. None of the promised new features and old ones don't work. Then they fuck with it for another year. Then bail on it all together, "we are starting over."

Oh for fucksake!

All the effort put into using it is now wasted. But a Nostr app, you just plugin to one you want to use, all your followers stay, etc.

I am not worrying about #Ordinals, people shall be allowed to do whatever they want under the rule, Ordinals transaction is the same as every other transaction to the bitcoin network. There shall be no judgement on whether some transactions are more meaningful than the others.

Fear of #recession is holding investors back from risky investments. This is actually a bullish signal, market is only risky when over leveraged (i.e. FOMO’d). When there is fear it is healthy.

A recession will bring down markets across board, historically bonds and utility shares will weather the storm better. Will #bitcoin join the suit this time?

Recession is also a master of hide-and-seek. When everyone is looking for it, it will not come out. When most people are optimistic about dodging it, it will laugh out and shout peek-a boo!🤪

#Nostr is still new and young and we want to attract more people. But honestly do you really expect an internet stranger to run #relay to store your notes for free forever? Value 4 value. I am willing to pay at fair price to host my notes because I value my notes. Bitcoin transaction is cheap but not free.

Paid relay is the only way. Free relay can exist with limitations or inconvenience.
