The reason data privacy is so important is because laws and regimes change; what is considered ok today may be punishable by death tomorrow.
History is riddled with examples. Search for IBM and the holocaust if you don't believe me.

Yeah it is running in each geo location as relays with latency DNS same way. Adding imgproxy for each over weekend too. Should be blazing fast.
Bit more complicated but general idea. Once get that might add as nostr.af option
