Just deployed a massive redesign of Snort.

Say hello to Snort V2 design, huge shoutout to nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac as usual.

As usual there are a few rough corners but we should get to them very soon, if you notice anything glaring please let me know.

This redesign has been in progress for over 2 months, the PR changed almost every file in the project.

The redesign is really really sweet. Great work!

I am definitely not 'average' in terms of technical knowledge. Not saying that as a flex, just sayin'.

I actually do self-host 2 perfectly serviceable lightning nodes. One running LND and the other running CLN.

...It is because of my background starting and running a node that I feel so strongly about this topic.

There is hope on the horizon though. Splicing will make things much cleaner and easier to work with, and seems as though wallet devs are eyes wide open on this as well. Which has given birth to the likes of nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg and splicing being added to Phoenix Wallet.

Running your own lightning node is way too hard to do. Unless there are massive improvements made, running a well functioning node will remain well out of reach for the average person.

In fact, I am going back to using them exclusively for lightning. I don't keep a lot in those services, so if they rug me it would be no different than losing my wallet.

After eating One Meal A Day (OMAD) for quite some time, my relationship with hunger has changed completely.

I didn't set out to do OMAD. Just been busy and feel like I am rarely hungry anymore.

As someone who has deeply studied #Bitcoin, I feel responsible to educate people when they come to me with genuine interest.

This is the stack of books I generally gift when this happens. We can't save everyone, but nobody can claim we didn’t try.

I’m looking into using the #Bitcoin cheat code for my business. Just not sure where to start.

We are a small contract manufacturing business that specializes in plastics. Machining and welding of all types of plastics products. The majority of our business is in the semiconductor vertical, but we touch nearly every industry.

Zero of my customers pay in #Bitcoin but I just need some inspiration as to what I can do.

We absolutely could mfg custom liquid cooling tanks for ASICs but there has to be more we can do.

Good Morning šŸ¤™šŸ¼

I am bullish as fuck on #Bitcoin

Had not given nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg a try until today, and I get the hype now.

It is really good, even at this early stage. Subbed to plus in support of the devs and will be testing.

Far too many self-described ā€œlibertarianā€ bitcoiners have a super caricatured view of what a progressive is and progressive values. We are all individuals with our own thoughts, experiences, and views.

When I say more diversity at bitcoin conferences would be good, it’s not for a status quo, tokenization, or this whole narrative people fuel themselves with from twitter. It’s because Bitcoin is global and the world’s largest bitcoin conference should showcase it, along with some already awesome speakers! That’s it. If we can’t suggest improvements in the community, then what’re we doing here? The status quo ā€œlibertarianā€ carnivore bitcoin maxi can suggest things, but not me. Got it. Freedom ftw.

There’s room for everyone here. Running nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld has actually given me a newfound appreciation for the word ā€œprogressive.ā€ What’s more progressive than freedom tech and bitcoin? We are making progress, together, and I welcome interactions with all view points. I’m a freedom-maximalist, and I want everyone to be able to live how they want as long as you’re not causing harm to others.

Some of you bitcoiners need to hear this: stop picking fights with progressive/left leaning bitcoiners. We are on the same team here advocating for bitcoin’s success and greater adoption for a better world. Open dialogue, pushback, discussion is one thing—but hateful interactions, name calling, or personal threats is childish and not helping anyone. Let’s build bridges and promote inclusion. Me expressing simple views is not a threat to you or to bitcoin.

Nailed it. #Bitcoin

I would pay $5/mo for a 4K stream of my favorite local newscast, nothing else.

Anyone have luck getting the nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg caching service up and running on Ubuntu server?

Seems to build fine, but errors on a single part right at the end. Tried in NixOS as well. Not sure if I am missing something stupid, or what the deal is.

Docker fails too. I have to be missing something big.
