Sovereignty is Job #1. Here to further the decentralization revolution. The future is what you make it.

Anybody recognize this plant? Found it growing along my fence last summer. #grownostr #permies #plants

I put about 15% uninnoculated biochar in one of my pea beds and seed germination was great. The peas seem to be doing just fine with it so far.

We will see as the season progresses.

From my understanding as long as it doesn't float, i.e. it is saturated with water, it is okay to use.

You can inoculate it by mixing it with compost or manure and letting it sit for two week, but some people skip that step.

Without inoculation it may stunt growth the first year but after that it will be fully functional.

Experiment with different ways and see what works for you.

Biochar is nature's nano technology. It is full of pores on the micro and nano scale. Biochar is 75% or more empty space.

These pores create tiny micro(nano)-climates that support diverse soil life.

Been reading a lot of biochar literature lately. Picked up with quote from Andrew Jackson Dowling:

"Canals and railroads wrote a one-way ticket for soil fertility. They bring from the West millions of bushels of grain, and send not one fertilizing atom back to restore the land. And in this way we shall by-and-by make the fertile prairies as barren as some of the worn out farms of Virginia."

This prescient statement was made in 1851 prior to the dust bowl.

New life goal:

"I refuse to be dehumanized any longer. I want to only eat, wear, dwell & participate in things provided by those who love me or at least bless my humanity."

Easter Sunday walk. #grownostr #dogstr

Got out to enjoy the snow before it melts and soaked in some sun. #grownostr #ski #skistr

I have a bunch of dried reapers from last year. Do you infuse the honey with dried peppers?

Ah, I thought it was soak two days then chip it. I'll try drying it out a bit next time.

It went through the chipper just fine though and the particle size turned out great for feeding to my birds.
