Open-source intelligence (OSINT) ought to be among the array of resources used when assessing a target, whether it's a person or an organization. By examining the information shared online, I can gather varying levels of confidence on:

- Preferences and aversions

- Metadata from media files (EXIF)

- Geographic coordinates (Longitude/Latitude)

- Devices and operating systems you use

- Pinpointing locations using landmarks, aircraft, and geographical features

- Social circles and networks

- Possible weak points (family members, friends, specialized interests)

- Employment history and professional connections

- Aliases and usernames

- Travel patterns and frequently visited locations

- Hobbies and leisure activities

- Personal values and opinions

- Purchasing habits and brand preferences

- Much more

You are seeing a scammer fall in real time. Please do your research and OSINT searches on those that are the loudest. They may not be as peaceful as they project. There are a few others that will encounter the same fate.

Everyone saying custodial zaps are okay or that UX is too hard is wrong. We can do better and shouldn't settle for less.
