👏 setting up your lightning url doesn’t need to be complicated. Start small, you don’t need to run your own node to begin with, just grab a lightning wallet on your phone (I can recommend wallet of Satoshi) it’s then just a quick copy and paste from WoS into your profile, shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes and there will be plenty of people willing to help you out if you get stuck along the way.
It’s crazy to think how fast progression has been, pasting lightning invoices into notes feels like a blast from the past!

I’ve been witnessing poor relay stability but also seen headlines of AWS outages over the last hour or so, I’m guessing this isn’t a coincidence and that the majority of the relays I’m connected to are running on AWS 🤔
While on the subject, does anyone have any recommendations for decent relays (paid/free) that won’t disappear in a few weeks?
So we can download Spotify, Netflix, Prime Video, Patreon and many more digital services on Apple devices and pay for their digital content and that’s considered just fine but I can’t send a few sats for brightening my day with a dank meme?

I used lastpass many years ago (about 6-7) it was terrible but I was forced to use it (workplace policy), things may have changed since then but I just remember how clunky it was especially on mobile. 1Password has been a dream.
1Password, cross platform, clean ui on both desktop and mobile, handles one time passwords so no need for additional 2fa app, not expensive at all
Finally got around to setting up a second bitcoin node tonight, this time a full node running on a pi 400.. compiling from source on the pi seemed rather slow vs building on a Mac but it got there in the end. Overall I’ll be happy with that running 24/7 and freeing up a MacBook for other use.
A nice 5% BTC discount before bed, order filled I’ll take that 👌
😂 yeah, it was a bit of a side step prior to just building Damus myself, not with this build though it’s flawless, what client are you using?
The wallet wasn’t the problem, the stable release of Damus on the App Store doesn’t have a zap button on each note. The only way I could do it previously was to view a post in snort social hit the zap button and scan the invoice QR with WoS but I didn’t hand my private key over to snort just logged in with public key so although the sats where sent the zaps where never recorded.
Zapping from profiles is fun and all but I had serious FOMO from not being able to zap a note directly. With Damus test flight full I’ve taken the next best option and I now build from latest source and deploy to my own device.
Just zapped a note for the first time and I’m here for it. Amazing work all around to all involved 👏
