You canāt add relays through the side menu?
25 languages supported on #Damus 1.4.0! Congratulations and thanks to all the translators!
I donāt think it belongs in Damus as itās too chaotic and such a niche use case that doesnāt seem core to what Damus is trying to achieve. But someone can certainly build it a separate thing with focus on language learning as the goal.
There could be moderators, as long as you connect to only relays that have that level of moderation. But who would do such a thing? Users of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other centralized services, thatās who.
Iām also surprised. We are using their offline natural language detection API, but thereās no translation API.
I purchased the nostranslate.com domain two months in anticipation of spinning up my own LibreTranslate instance with paid (via Lightning) and unpaid access tiers, but I havenāt found the time to do it yet. Still not sure if itās a good idea.
The beauty of nostr is that anyone can be here. We can choose who we do and do not want to engage with, without impeding on their ability to use the protocol. Thatās freedom of speech.
Iāll fix it. Sorry about that!
No :( not sure if ChatGPT requires it ā gonna add translation support through there, though, as an alternative option
