Bay Area Bitcoiner 💪 bitcoin saver and trying to help others become one as well

Matt Hill makes me feel so bullish on IoT privacy with Start9.

Thank you #[0] for your Simply Bitcoin IRL with Matt.

And we had a small pump today because of it 😏

(I say sarcastically)

Good night to do it with the clocks rolling back an hour. Plus, by the time you get into the more adult and dark movies, it will be the middle of the night.

As I’m sitting down at Bare Bottle brewery in Santa Clara, Pump it Up starts to play…..than I check the Bitcoin price …..

And then I wonder is there a bitcoiner running this Bare Bottle location?

I’d rather be unsafe than unfree.

The final discussion point on What Bitcoin Did.

Great podcast from #[0] and Konstantin Kisin

I applaud nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle for having this conversation with Dave Portnoy

for the Money Matters Podcast, and explaining why #bitcoin is more than just an asset to buy for number go-up (maybe Dave will get there at some point).

Here's the thing--we need more conversations like this, a live look at bitcoiners explaining bitcoin to folks who don't fully understand it, and seeing that being worked through. Many people are like Dave--thinking bitcoin is like any crypto or asset, something to get rich on. Many people also do not think people are into bitcoin for any altruism, and we at nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld try to amplify stories, not of the rich and powerful and bitcoin price, but of it's positive impact on people and our planet, and those who need it most.

These conversation exposed how, in the U.S., we still have more work to do so that people understand it's not just an asset or speculative bet, but its money for the world, for the activist, for the oppressed in authoritarian regimes, for the working class to save, and more

People can and will get rich from bitcoin, and many of those folks in an odd, game-theory way, will help usher in a global new era of bitcoin mass-adoption, which will benefit everyone. This isn't about Dave, Barstool, or billionaires, its about global money for the people

nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle is using his platform to bring on people that folks will tune in to (athletes, celebrities, tech billionaires, etc), to then spur on the audience's curiosity that bitcoin is the greatest global money for humanity, promoting mass adoption that benefits the world 🔥

Yes. Showing meaningful “touch points” in public about the “Why of Bitcoin” is great.

Bitcoin is for ALL cultures and society because of it’s Why (and How). Some bitcoiners still don’t understand this point.

Overton window window alert?

Is KGW8 — the Portland NBC affiliate — really on nostr?!

Is the following account real? #[0]

#[1] since you’re in Portland, is this believable?

“It’s no coincidence that the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution allowing Congress to levy an income tax was passed in the same year as the Federal Reserve Act, 1939. Remember, the keyword here is deception!”

- Excerpt from Bitcoin vs Altcoins by Phil Champagne

Yep. The rock singer’s voice often goes through painfully bad decline after many years.

Notable vocal declines that come to my mind and are unbearable:

James Hetfield - Metallica

Geddy Lee - Rush

David Lee Roth - VH

Axl Rose - GnR (yes, already stated)

Geoff Tate - Queensrÿche (but to a less cringey amount)

I’ve never felt more convicted and laser focused on what we’re doing via nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld

Over the coming weeks we’ll be revamping our mission and vision statement, but the way I see it it’s two-fold:

1) to promote and elevate stories of bitcoin’s positive use-cases around the world for environmental, social/political, and global humanitarian efforts

2) to educate people in the US and the west, particularly progressives/those on the left, and clarify the inaccuracies they have heard about bitcoin, and re-educate via the point above

There’s a lot of work to be done, but week after week we will continue bringing exceptional content and education and expanding the ways in which we do this. We will be the first place progressives can come to to get a good understanding of #bitcoin and it’s positive use-cases, while creating accessible content anyone, regardless of political persuasion, can find helpful and inspirational.

Keep it up as everyone around the world deserves sound money no matter in what kind of community or culture they live.

Money that is not controlled by the ruling classes.

Everyone in the world can and should have this type of money.

My reply is inspired from my many disagreements with what Taimur Ahmad said on your podcast. He could possibly (and hopefully)benefit from attending some of the local bitcoin meetups near Stanford (there are 2 that meet every month) along with reading Jason Maier’s book.

Don’t forget about Justin Rhedrick. The person behind From Bars to Bitcoin. His bird app name is @bitcoin_vegan.

I have to applaud #[0]‘s forward in Phil Champagne’s new book Bitcoin vs Altcoins.

A little mathematical history mixed with a first principle way of looking at our world today — it’s all about the money.

Great way to start off my latest Bitcoin book!
