How would I know? Would the screen just not work?
idk. hard to tell without the LCD hat. lost in shipping unfortunately. what do you think?

I just "finished" it up. Looks dirty. We'll see if it works. My LCD hat is delayed or lost in the shipping process. There are a few pins that have a little of the brass ring showing. That may cause it to not work. Also in the process of getting it too hot the pins moved to become longer than the others on the front side. That may also cause it to not work.
Some of the pins appear to have gotten too hot and moved backwards. They are now longer on the other side than the other ones. Not sure how this will effect the LCD hat…?
Yeah totally. It's super hard to keep it steady too and I think it is getting too hot for this application. I will try your method.
I've been so distracted by destroying my raspberry pi that I didn't even notice #bitcoin dumping. Now I've got to stack and put the soldering away for a minute.

Thanks. I hope I didn't destroy the board and pins. I'm going to give it some practice. I had way too much coffee today too. I was all shaking! Haha
Thank you! I'll make a third attempt tonight. Problem I think is I got a soldering gun (weller) because it was all my hardware store had. The tip is not a point like the video above. I can't do the method he is demonstrating....
I don't know. Definitely suck hard at soldering. this video above makes it look very easy.
Just found this video by nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl
Cmon you can do it :)
I may have melted the board. lol
It went terribly. Lol. I have to order a new pi and header with the solderless application. Failed.
it's not going well. this is way harder than I thought
It is so much smaller than I expected! 🤣
Now time for soldering the header.

I would if I ever had a client able to.
Yeah, so it sounds like you are building spec homes?
That's awesome.
Sweet! Let me if you need plans. I mostly work locally in Santa Barbara County, Ca but I could work remote and you could use a consultant to do the permitting.
