#damus booth was like #plebchain IRL the entire conference. What an incredible experience, nice meeting y’all!

I learned a lot! My biggest takeaway:

We need better onboarding in-app. 90% of people I talked to who created an account never set up a lightning address, never experience getting paid for posts, never follow people, etc. will fix this by including a “finish setting up damus” with red notification dot breadcrumbs for pfps, wallet attach, first post, follow, etc.

Learning this on the ground was invaluable. Overall people just seemed excited for the future of nostr. Talking to #plebchain irl was a nice contrast for the otherwise influensoor-heavy flavour of the conference. #nostr is starting to feel like a serious pleb renaissance: Just real people stacking sats and shitposting, no influencer algos, drama or popularity contests. Fucking grateful to be a part of this. Let’s keep growing nostr to show how powerful this community really is.

Can't believe I'm saying this but so happy to be back in Toronto where the weather is so nice at this time of year.

While I was at the Bitcoin Conference, my husband was like “alright let me know when you’ll be on so I can livestream it.”

So I had to text back, “Okay so, right now Kennedy is on stage, and then it’ll be some wizards debating with a ninja, and then I’ll be on after them. I can explain later.”

I was mindblown. And I still am.

What a strange, umbelievable time to be alive... I don't even know how to explain that to my friends 🤯

Many people like to use Bitcoin Pizza Day as a platform to discourage bitcoin spending but any money you have spent throughout your life could have been sats stacked instead.

We should all consider reducing our expenses to maximize the amount of sats we save long term but personally I would rather spend bitcoin than shitcoins like the dollar.
