I was running in the desert south of Phoenix. I took a nasty spill but had the presence of mind not to lock my arms. So, I was badly scraped up but otherwise uninjured. Absolutely no one commented the scabs on my face and hands until I stopped at the Vietnamese grocery in Tucson. The old lady at the checkout took one look at me and said "what happened to you?" I told her I had tripped while running. She paused a bit then said "it's better to tell people you were boxing". 😂 #running

It's funny how the body knows what's good for it. That was how I really turned my diet around. I started paying attention to how food made me feel, not just how it tasted.

Man, I hate Whatsapp. Even though I was on do not disturb, it rang my phone at 4 AM to let me know that someone from Nigeria wanted to talk to me. I would delete it in a heartbeat but outside of the US (especially in Central America) it's the only thing anyone uses. 😓

The first Unix machine I used was overloaded. To keep memory use low an to have enough space for everyone's 5mb disk quota the admin kept the installed software to a minimum. So we only had vi. I never had the opportunity to learn emacs. Lucky, I guess? Though these days I've given up vi and just use micro instead.
