Where did you learn about this? The LA fires in January also seemed to start with social media reports of multiple firestarters.

🚨🇺🇸MULTIPLE BRUSH FIRES ERUPT IN THE HAMPTONS, NY, CLOSING MAJOR ROADS

The brush fires erupted on the eastern end of Long Island, NY, affecting The Hamptons.

Authorities have shut down RT 27, Sunrise Highway, and Montauk Highway as crews battle the flames.
