1. The slideshow was very stimulating. All presenters should note how beautiful it looked on a big screen. Elevate your visuals.
2. Makes me want to see nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcqnw7tp and Rabble have a fireside chat, like nostr:nprofile1qqsqfjg4mth7uwp307nng3z2em3ep2pxnljczzezg8j7dhf58ha7ejgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgmwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxy6t5vdhkjmnsv9exktnrdaksz8rhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekh2arfdeuhwctvd3jhgtnrdaks9hhj2c and Jack's at Nostriga. They have such a history together, and the whole convention center for Nostriga buzzed about Jack, but also had similar love for Rabble. Everyone wanted to see Rabble speak. I could only imagine the conversation about the past, present, future (part 2) they could do together.

Does salt and pepper add any security if the key is already perfectly uniformly random?
I really like the idea of social key recovery. Leveraging the trust relationships in the web of trust to back up, secure and help recover each other keys. Eg doing frost multisignatures with some trusted npubs (frens) automatically cosigning. In case of key compromise we fall back to the human social layer to recover, invalidate, roll over, attest new sec keys.. That way it could be more safe to allow the mess.
#nostr reuses the #bitcoin tech stack (crypto code libraries..) using the same blockchain data structure (signed merkle DAGs) but the fundamental purpose is the exact opposite: #Bitcoin is about global consensus on *one single Truth* that everybody agrees on (for the first time in history). #Nostr is about everyone having their *own subjective truths* that nobody can prevent or take away. #Bitcoin is *trustless*. #Nostr is a *web of trust*.

I don't think trust has to be mutual. How to deal with npubs I do trust and want to have in my WoT but who fill half my timeline which is too much for me to keep up with? For my daily reading I want to curate a high signal to noise ratio list relying on my WoT to filter out the signal among other npubs who are chatting much more than I'm capable of following.
I would like to privately mute stuff (temporarily) without making anyone feeling personally rejected. I see public mute lists in my WoT as a way to curate a "safer" subset of the nostrverse removing obviously malicious npubs. A lower signal to noise ratio is still signal I want to invite. Interacting a lot is just a different way to use nostr which does not fit how I use my timeline.

Pay ln invoice to receive ecash. Can that be made atomic with PTLCs? Instead of hash preimage buy a private key as the proof of payment. If the mint pre-commits to the (blind) signature nonce R (similar to DLCs) the lightning invoice could use s*G as the point to pay to. The payer would verify that this point is hash(R,msg)*P+R to know that the proof of payment will actually be the expected ecash (signature)
