🎢 Older now, but still running against the wind 🎢 Scientist, engineer, consultant, pilot. Slinger of bits and reducer of gradients. EN/ES ☸️

It did take me a bit of time to wrap my head around it, but this is the real innovation of #nostr--the ability to reconstruct application state from individual participants' signed event streams instead of a central database (or even blockchain).

Really looking forward to some common things like forums and signal/telegram/slack/discord type complex protocols recreated this way.

I placed an order for one of these the moment they were announced in December. Can't wait.

It's just the beginning.

Well now that's interesting, I just had a reply note posted five times.

Those who can, do.

Those who can't, become politicians, to try to ride herd on their betters.

Those who can't even manage that, join movements to try to influence those politicians to wield their power against people they don't like.

It's also a good lens--what someone says about it tells you more about them than about bitcoin.

The gradients must flow.

The kube must grow.

Nah, I used to be a libertarian, but those guys believe in *way* too much government πŸ˜†

GM β˜• I'm getting like 10-15 of these a day now. They are all 0 post, 0 follower type bots. Weird.

I've had a few impersonator bots as well, but most of them are empty profiles, no notes, no or single follower

I've noticed this. What is their game plan? I mean, all of our nostr data is public; what does adding a follow provide them?
