Why npubs? When somebody know npub, he already can DM directly.
Yes we can lose phone numbers (I just has been inspired by Vexl app which use numbers), but we also can add skype ID for example, but emails are probably enough.
I'm not so sure about that. nostr.directory create “verified” link with keys by centralised entity. I don't think we can do that without centralised entity and I don't think we want real email address linked publicly with keys. I think this is more for “find you old acquintances and friends,…”. when user can do verification of identity himself, but he just don't know about other side using nostr.
What i have on mind is just storing salted hashes (salt month and year maybe also relay url - i don't want universal cheap rainbow table, notes can expire after month nip40) on relay with new keys, so hash is not linked with main identity on nostr.
Searching one can ask relay for hashes (i think we need relay which is able filter notes by content, im not sure if we have one.). When he find someone he can use DM for verification of identity and exchange main pubkey…

It create attack vector for gov for censorship. Any relay can be ordered by gov censor u user, but with you sugestion there is posibility propagation of this censorship to other relays automaticaly instead of gov ordering relays one by one…

Maybe “proxy caching relay”? we can make them secret, if they dont store data, but only work as middleman resending data to public central relays. In that case somebody trustworthy can have list of 1000 relays and distribute them to people in china in that way everybody know just part of them. If CCP get some subset of proxy relays others still works…
I thinking about posibility integrate relay into mobile client, so it can work as P2P, syncing notes between “mobile relays” and send them to outside relays and download when they are available and download notes from requested persons. It's not online with whole world, but i think meybe it's way to smuggle batch of messagech over boarder in phone. Do you think its reasonable?

Czech republic income tax 15%, but we also pay 9% + 4.5 healthcare “insurence” (in reality its more tax than insurence, it devided to two numebers, because gov hide 9% so we see it on payroll as “payd by employer”. Next is social insurence 6.5% (this is clearly tax with another name.)
For buy anything we have VAT in 3 categories:
10% medical drugs, watter, beer (but only if you drink it from glass in pub!), food for children.
15% funeral services, food, some houses, beer in some forms
21% everythink else
