Mastodon is not decentralised, because it has centers, lot of them. You have multiple centers where is your account and your data that center can delete you, but you can choose your center and move which one will be yours or you can
Bluesky is centralised. There is only one center which can control and ban you.
And also there is Nostr, truly decentralised network. There is no center, there are relays, which can have your data, but you can choose which one and how much of them you use. Your data are on each of them, you can have your data on your private relay. Relay can only remove your data from that relay, but if you have data on 10 relays, you are not silenced.
I read about lot of examples of silencing libertarians on bluesky for just for ther political belives. I read some examples of silencing on mastodon, but that can be solved by moving account but on nostr is silencing practicaly imposible.
