The channels are run by individuals, which introduces moderation issues and squatting problems. (Also, who gets to run which channels, who do they get them from, etc). Doesn't seem appropriate for a decentralized system.

Also lots of segregated content siloing. When there are topical channels, "the global feed" starts to go down in quality/breadth and people start to second-guess "where" they should post certain notes.

I dunno, I think it makes things feel even quieter.

It's faster and doesn't have the memory limit urbit has.

The author of the technology we're building on top of was an early core developer at urbit. He had an innovation to make the machine code of the system faster but it wasn't accepted so he split off and built this system instead.

Thanks! The technology is beautiful, too. Check out the documentation page if you meant to learn more.

Soon we'll be posting an explainer talk our Chief Architect gave at Lambdaconf '24 this past week.

nostr:npub1ajlrwgfj4yerhqf7ady03h7wmtk2qr3gs7h3sxcx83k05yld36sswpzx3q is there a way to change the layer 2 wallet balance to display in sats instead of btc? I hate all the decimal places but I can’t find a setting to change it and tapping on that balance doesn’t change it either.

The setting to change that is located here: stack hundreds of thousands of sats

Socks with sandals is quite good for air travel. Easy to take off if necessary at airport security (without bare feet on airport floor) and easy to take off on the plane without worrying about your feet being all hot and stinky from being in shoes.
