it's not even the output of the AI models that is the main problem, it's the intensive computing, resource use, corporate control, and its increasing role in surveillance and systems of authoritarian control.

it is FOR THEM and it does it TO US.

who's us?

there is no single alternative, but preferably something with less chance of abuse/rape.

"wealth" is not the validation you think it is.

what is virtue if it's just another in a long list of standards [defined by humans] that take them farther from their innate "virtue"?

i feel that, i like rereading things i read as a younger self. it gives good perspective.

i guess this means i should reread Pride and Prejudice.

government / institutions buy the bitcoin, and sit on it, or rather let Coinbase sit on it. they then trade paper bitcoin and IOUs and futures and derivatives like they already do, not even touching the bitcoin that "backs" their financial system.

a transparent, auditable main chain exposes none of the shady business.

and they beat Bitcoin into submission. they never need to use it, they only need to "own" it.
