So, who's excited for the coming #SocialCreditSystem ? You think the #AI everyone is complaining about is the end of it? The #SocialCredit only works if there's an AI combined with #CCTV #surveillance .
What are _you_ going to do about it today?

Be safe! It packs a lot of rains! That super typhoon flooded the Philippines!
Now that the current #Philippines President banned #POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator), expect major disruptions in online #gambling services.
> Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) is the official designation for firms operating in the Philippines that offer online gambling services to markets outside the country, particularly China.
> POGOs began operating in the Philippines in 2003 and have been regulated by the Philippine government since 2016, at the start of Rodrigo Duterte's presidency. During this period, the industry flourished and generated significant revenues for the Philippine government.

This is good and bad:
Good: Because #China __HATES__ POGO.
Bad: Yet more Filipinos are jobless… again.
Q: Wait… China hates POGO?
A: Yes. Xi Jinping is always requesting to the Philippines to stop all POGO.
They hate it because:
(1) the mainland Chinese who are hired for POGO are mostly illegal aliens (and thus they don't pay taxes to China);
(2) there are mainland Chinese human trafficking, they're brought to be offer sex to those mainland Chinese working for POGO;
(3) POGO companies are generally owned by mainland Chinese who escaped the clutches of mainland China;
(4) They are primarily online gambling services targeting mainland Chinese.
Bonus: A few days ago, news was shared that China and the Philippines reached an agreement to de-escalate the China-Philippines dispute.
I wouldn't be surprised if part of the deal was to end all POGO operations immediately.
---
Extra extra!
Most POGO companies hires mainland Chinese. The middle management are Filipinos. The upper management are mainland Chinese who escaped the clutches of mainland China.
For Filipinos working in POGO, it is bad. Well, for those mainland Chinese who were mostly illegal aliens, they'll probably find ways not go back to mainland China… because… you know…
---
Where are these POGO companies going to move? #Vietnam. They've been preparing offices in Vietnam since before the 2020 lockdown. Cheaper labor and cheaper rent.
I can't help but notice that a lot of apps and online services with #Twitter verification and links are still hard-coded to check the old domain "twitter.com", which is causing errors because it should be "x.com" now.
I guess even though it has been a few months already, no one cares anymore. 🤪😅🤣😂
Wow. "Short-lived"? LOL. Who is that person?
I had a 15-year relationship where we celebrated our monthsaries for 15 years. If our work is taking too much of our time, our monthsaries guarantee we have "our" time at least once a month.

«The Handmaiden» is an art masterpiece. It's about building relationships and how it should be valued and respected by the couple.

Am I the only person who finds it weird whenever people use “anniversary” for everything?
* 100th Year Death Anniversary
* 34th Anniversary of the Luzon Earthquake
While technically correct, the word “anniversary” gives us the message that something is worth ___celebrating___.
Why not use “remembrance”?
* 100th Year Remembrance Day
* 34th Remembrance Day of the Luzon Earthquake
The added benefit of using “remembrance” is that it brings to attention that we should remember the fallen. Compare that when we use “anniversary”, the focus is on the death and the earthquake itself (using our examples above).
What do you think? What's your understanding or opinion about using “anniversary” for everything when there are better, more appropriate, words?

Oh! Thank you for the update! ^_^
Cool. I can see my #Threads account from #Nostr via the Mostr.pub bridge.
Might be that the balance patch affected your build and play style. This is usually felt with light-type characters like Elementalist, because they die easily. One time, I didn't know there was a balance patch, I thought I changed something on my Ele, but turned out it was the patch. (My Ele was acting like an Engineer, melee DPS all the way, and poof, gone.)
Or, there's actually a bug they haven't noticed yet. You can post it in the forums so others can test it. ArenaNet also checks it themselves to see if there's something. Include certain areas where you noticed the change. What time (so they can check if there were events that somehow affected the area). Your character (so they can check your build privately).
They'll try to replicate it and monitor. If there was something, they'll fixed it immediately. Or, if it was a balance patch related, they'll go back to the drawing board and see what they can do (since it's going to affect the entire game dynamics).
😃
If there's anything that #Nostr clients need to improve, it is to stop deleting profile information when updating your profile using another client.
Examples:
Scenario #1:
* Amethyst offers LN URL (outdated), Twitter, Mastodon (actually Fediverse, not Mastodon), and Github proof.
* If you update your profile, say, from Primal, it deletes the Twitter, Fediverse, and Github proofs.
* If you update your profile from Ditto, it removes the proofs as well as the LN URL (outdated).
* Weird things also happen when updating your profile from all the other clients out there (I didn't bother to track).
Scenario #2:
* In addition to that, Primal is using “username” as an @_username.
* If you update your profile using Amethyst, it overrides the @_username field with your Display Name even though it has a separate field for it.
If a client doesn't offer a certain field, it shouldn't delete information from the other fields. Isn't those fields defined in NIPs? If so, different clients use those defined fields differently (like the username issue between Amethyst and Primal).
The only consistent ones are:
* Display Name
* About me
* Avatar URL
* Banner URL
* Website URL
* Nostr Address
* LN Address
Everything else in the profile are either overwritten, deleted, or used differently by each Nostr client. That's #bug. For a regular user, like me, it's frustrating. Are not NIPs supposed to be the standard for Nostr?
/confused
No matter what I do, I can't make it work. nostr:npub1teawtzxh6y02cnp9jphxm2q8u6xxfx85nguwg6ftuksgjctvavvqnsgq5u I did everything as per the instructions.
Hmm, as per the docs, if one wants a naked/root nip05, we should enter `_@domain.tld`. Mine is set as `_@youronly.one` with the appropriate `nostr.json` configuration under my domain's `/well-known/`.
It's weird that it is no longer working for my account if viewed through Amethyst, but works fine on other clients like Primal. O_O I checked other users with naked/root nip05, it works fine if viewed through Amethyst. But I can't find what's wrong on my end, especially since it used to work. 🤔
