Part of my #TabulaRasa #Roleplaying blog is still online. I miss #RichardGarriott's Tabula Rasa #MMORPG. We were generally roleplayers, many created RP blogs.

I used to play #WorldOfWarcraft religiously side-by-side with #GuildWars2, it was crazy. I even installed both in the office just so I can keep up. Luckily, a lot of my colleagues also play #WoW including the CEO and directors, so we got away with it. π€£π€£π€£ (A few play #GW2 as well.)
So, yeah, expansion release too close to each other? "Hell months" ahead. You can't file a sick leave or vacation if people in your work are also playing. π€£π€£π€£
It was reported that the amazing developer of #Friendica, #Hubzilla, and #Streams (to mention a few), is importing his encrypted PM/DM mechanism over to ActivityPub's latest round of discussion and development. It was something that was supposed(?) to be in AP in the beginning, but β¦
I'm not sure how real it is (the work), I haven't been paying attention after my own Friendica and Hubzilla instances went offline (due to lack of time to manage it). So, hopefully it is and we'll finally see encrypted PM/DM in #ActivityPub. Then we'll see if that software you mentioned is W3C compliant once the next version of AP comes out. Or, they'll choose to not to and start wrecking the #Fediverse in the process (*cough*EEE*cough*).
(P.S. He was the first who developed true account #portability years before #ATproto started to "champion" it. I think it's also being posted into the next AP version(?).)
The #Idol genre or industry actually started in #Japan in the 60s. It was an idea by a Japanese woman during her work. She's still with us today and still active.
In the late 90s, SM Entertainmen's founder brought the #Jpop Idol formula to Korea and adapted it for the Korean market. The rest is history. This was the birth of the #Kpop Idol genre/industry.
Related to this, most K-pop fans inaccurately assume that "K-pop" and "idols" are one and the same labels. This is incorrect.
* K-pop refers to the Korean POPular music, just as K-pop and P-pop refers to the Japanese and Pilipino POPular music respectively.
In other words, K-pop, K-pop, P-pop, and related, are an umbrella terminology that specifically refers to the popular music of their respective music industries.
For example, in Korea, Trot music is considered popular, and thus, K-pop. It is currently making a comeback in the mainstream, which further solidified its position as popular, and thus, K-pop.
Ironically, Trot predates the generally accepted birth of "POPular music". Popular music supposedly started in the early 60s when it became easy to mass distributi music. Similarly, the pop genre (not to be confused with POPular music) was dated in the 60s as well, having originated in the West.
However, Trot music goes all the way back to 50s and 40s, a few decades before the supposed birth of POPular music in the 60s.
This begs the question: Is popular music restricted to mass music distribution?
Well, personally, no. By the name itself, "popular music", if it's popular in its respective origin country, then it is POPular music. What we should define is when a music is "popular", not when it started.
This is the only way to accomodate the Korean definition that Korean POPular music, or K-pop for short, stared decades before any easy and mass distribution of music. Because as far as the Koreans are concerned, Trot is K-pop, a traditional K-pop.
Q: Did not Seotaiji & Boys started K-pop?
A: What they started is what Koreans call "modern K-pop" in 1992.
Q: Are they idols?
A: As far as the industry definition of "Idols" is concerned, no, they were not idols.
Remember, the idol formula was brought in Korea in the late 90s, the first K-pop idol was in 1998 but it didn't gain attention until 1999, when more Korean agencies debuted more idol groups than solo idols. It was also in that year when the difference between idol and non-idol K-pop started to get clearer, thanks to acts like Fin.K.L, S.E.S, H.O.T, T.O.P, to name a few in that year.
This mid-June, #BINI is going to host a #running #event. It's a 5k run worth β±1,200.00 starting from the Quirino Grandstand.
BINI is the No.1 and most popular #Ppop #Idol girl group from the #Philippines. They're dubbed as "Nation's Girl group".

Usually, when it's announced in a board/shareholders meeting, it has been underway for at least a year already. The real question is, are they going to continue receiving funding for it?
They used it as an example to give confidence to stakeholders that they're not stagnant. It doesn't mean the final product will be #GuildWars3. Consider it a project name, it can still evolve into an entirely new franchise.
Also, #NCsoft is known to do that during a high level meeting. π Only to end up with a different product, or it was scrapped (for a lot of reasons) without any update. It remains a stakeholder information, not directly from the devs, that way they're not obligated to give updates, and can quietly change it or discard it. π
Anyway, it's NCsoft Korea. The main HQ. They do say a lot of things to boost confidence. π One thing is for sure, there is indeed a project that they've been working on for at least a year now.
P.S., They also use terms differently than the rest. "Guild Wars 3" when what they actually meant was the 1 expansion per year project for #GuildWars2. (Disclaimer: I've worked with gaming companies, it's a common practice to use a grand name when they meant something else. π€ͺ (And I hate it when I'm the one writing the press release and speech copies, lol. As a gamer, I don't agree with it, but it's part of the job. γ γ γ γ )
P.S.2 Some people were "leaking" GW3 since 2021, I think they were testing the waters, trying to gauge the community. So, yes, it is possible it could very well be GW3.
Any #GuildWars2 #gamers here in #Nostr Universe?

Awesome today. Better than the past few days. Got a good, uninterrupted sleep finally. π
Here in the Philippines, we don't have a cheese flavoured pansit / pancit. (Philippine noodles) We do use cheese in pansit, but a cheese-only pansit? Nope. Not even in instant pansit products. Cheese for us is an add-on to make pansit sweeter, because we're not exactly fans to spiciness, we're more on sweetness and saltiness. (But we're not salty, we're actually a very sweet people.)
Of course, we do eat cheese-only pansit, but it's self-made. Cook the noodles, add lots of cheese, voila! π§

I've tried a cheese flavoured ramyeon (ramyeon = Korean "instant ramen"), and true to its Korean origins, it is very spicy even though it is cheese flavoured!

Yesterday, or two, I was watching a Japanese person's live stream. The discussion turned into Japanese curry, and how it is technically one of the Top 5 food in Japan by the Japanese. Hi said that it is contrary to the assumption by foreigners that it was all about sushi, ramen, and more sushi, and ramen.
He visited a convenience store and showed us an entire shelf of⦠Japanese curry!
There was something that caught my attention⦠a cheese curry flavoured instant ramen. Read that again, cheese curry flavoured instant ramen.
I'll one day visit our local Japanese store here in the Philippines to look for that cheese curry flavoured instant ramen. I'm very curious what it tastes like, and how different it is from the Filipino version of curry.
So very true. It all starts with takong a break. While it isn't bad by itself, we do need to take a break so we can recover, sadly it's so easy to get into a routine of break and develop, usually unknowingly, "break" habits (like delaying it further), that it's no longer a break but a new routine.
I'm thinking, it is really what we want as a human being, we've been working since early 20s, after school (some even earlier), our body and mind wants to just sit and do things that increases our"happy" hormones.
I think that's when we truly seek a work-life balance, favouring life more than work a lil bit. And people like you and me, we tend to get exhaust ourselves once we start working, that we unconsciously find ways not to get back to it. π π
You know, we try to recover from a burnout, but we also try to recover from excessive "breaks"/"recovery time". π π π
You'll be there. It's good you recognised it, that's the first step, recognition and embracing the situation. You'll be able to to address the roots because of it. π«π«π«
Thank you to the heroes of the #KKK we gained our independence from Western invaders, in particular from Spain who treated us as less than human for 300 years.
