I know I've been guilty of this in my relationships both personally and professionally. So yeah don't be afraid to not be a people-pleaser and don't think it the end of the world if you need to think about yourself every once in a while.

Okay just this whole episode of "Its a Mood" #music #podcast is a banger.
#v4v is awesome.
Yeah the only downside with that I have to recommend hardware that can be easily get off retail shelves for most of our residential customers for internet. It also has to be maintainable by the customer too.
The customer already had netgear hardware at his home and wanted to stay with the same hardware. It's just a pain to set them up, especially the newer Wi-Fi 6 and 7 routers.
But yeah, I Personally use Mikrotik for my own homelab. I actually have a USB stick hooked up to it so I can run containers and run tailscale on it so it acts as a subnet router for my tailnet.
So yes, those are good routers, but too complicated for average joe to use.
I never going to recommend netgear ever again. They're starting to enforce having to have accounts connected to the router. After two factory resets and a bunch of form posts later I was able to figure out how to bypass it but that was a doozy.
Seeing Bitcoin break the $100k USD barrier is an amazing accomplishment. I've been on the fence for years but with current changes, I'm making an effort to participate in this community. I'll also make some changes on how I earn money and where to store it. Maybe also add this in the open-source community as well.
Happy Thanksgivings to all including those who don't live in the States!
Cause US economy is a debt base and been that way since the founding of the Federal Reserve. It only has "value" as long as we the people say it has value.
The Federal Reserve is technically self govern and only has to report to congress when necessary. It only prints money base on a ratio to keep the value of the dollar stable. Taxes are mainly used to fund Government Spending. So in a sense, they are separate entities.
But going back to my first point, it only has value cause we the people say it has value. It doesn't have any physical reserve to back it up its value. The government does have Assets in gold through the US Treasury which I guess is separate from the Federal reserve assets.
Our US Economy is weird.
I did a four-page short comic for Le Lombard (Belgian publisher), it was a contribution to a big book project in French, featuring 24 other comic artists; an "advent calendar" book for Christmas. And yes, you have to cut the page every day in December to reveal a new story. I negotiated to have mine published on CC-By and made it using only FLOSS :linux: :krita: :inkscape: .

Oh nice!
nostr:npub1d03clrrrma7mlpxm0mz2dehmhkx3nh9rhxqwltgctpwyduztymustepzfs is there a way to claim a fediverse account and just mirror what I post on Nostr to Mastodon or vice a versa? Or do I need to setup nostr:npub10qdp2fc9ta6vraczxrcs8prqnv69fru2k6s2dj48gqjcylulmtjsg9arpj and just move my nostr keys and mastodon account on there?
Gosh the more I use bitcoin, the more I learn that I most services I use, offer paying with Bitcoin... So I will probably be going that route first. I'm also think about hosting a Wallet for MyPaint Community as well. Open Collective used to offer Bitcoin donations, but sunset that a long time ago. My only issue is that I want the transactions to be just as transparent as it is on Open Collective. Just thinking....
Yeah, I'm noticing it to the point where, my roommate and I are spitting the bill to make it more affordable for us.
No what I mean is the userdata for what songs/podcasts/playlists we add to our library along with our queue and played state. If that data is portable and could be stored on with Nostr, IPFS, or some decentralize database, that would be awesome. Though for that to happen, all the podcasting 2.0 app developers would have to agree on a storage standard to make it happen. We already have an identity base system with Nostr, so that can be taken advantage of as well. IPFS has been around forever so that can work too.
All-in-all I love what been happening already, it just seems that this is what needed to be address so all the user has to do is pick their favorite provider/podcast app and off they go.
Trying out nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg on android. Like the music experience. I just wish there was a way to share music/podcast information between them, nostr:npub1t8cmt7hjnyz0a99x5ppw9kpdsrtglst26aj3aw5s4r0rna3l3l5qk89gm4 and nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 to make it truely decentralize. Nostr seems like a good idea cause they could have their own relays and just exchange the info if needed. Idk.
At least I can bridge Nostr and Mastodon with nostr:npub10qdp2fc9ta6vraczxrcs8prqnv69fru2k6s2dj48gqjcylulmtjsg9arpj I'll have to set up my own server, but I think it might be doable.
I also ended up subscribing to Alby Cloud. I tired to load Alby hub on my Raspberry Pi but kept running into roadblocks. Probably once I get my nextcloud server going, I will take a look into it again.
Also tip for those who are getting started, you can use fountain or primal to get the necessary sats to get started but the with the first channel opening, it might not work. I ended up transferring the sats to the alby shared wallet first then pay it via the extension. I then connected it to my alby account to transfer the remaining sats over. I wish it was a bit more simpler but now I understand why it is a chore.
Also Chris what are your thoughts about using PayPal to buys sats and transfering it over to alby? After my fiasco with River, I forgotten PayPal offers buying Bitcoin as well. I'm a Washington resident too so would that affect me tax wise?

nostr:npub1awyzkzaktxlhyg6syzst3pxy5lvp0c908yphz4ekk9rp3zcapp5qxn79n4 Fountain is erroring out the boost on my end, I tried todo a retry but it still fails. Might want to look on your end. Sat streaming is working though. If no joy, I can just reboost via alby/podverse instead.

Welcome to Nostr! If you want to add the ability to use Sats, Primal has a built-in wallet. If you are a podcast listener, nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 is great start. Fountain also can be used to verify who you are. It is what I use. Long term, I would look into nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm to self sovereign your own Bitcoin and sats.
Just keep in mind though, you are responsible for monitoring what you see on Nostr. There are no automatic moderation tools, but you can block or mute. Especially if you follow hashtags like I do.
Once again welcome to the future of decentralize social media!
