Currently, according to the UK Law, there are 2 types of Personal Property:
➡️ "Things in Possession" - tangible: such as Gold , a laptop, etc
➡️ "Things in Action" - A claim, a debt, an IP, a trade mark, etc
But what is #Bitcoin or #Ethereum? – It is neither in "physical possession", nor a claim against anyone!
✍🏽 So the Law Commission has made a recommendation that while existing common Law can be applied to most cases of public cryptoassets disputes and the courts have been using Common Law to deal with cases related to public cryptoassets custody, ownership and crime, We will need a Third Category - specifically for #Cryptoassets.
👩⚖️ ⚖️ UK courts have previously served notices to defendents in the form of an #NFT airdrop, perhaps the first jurisdiction in the world to do so.
📄So a draft bill has now been proposed by the Law commission . Now One or more of the policymakers (from Commons or Lords) will pick this up for debate, and it will go through various stages of discussion.
Once a bill has been debated and then approved by each House of Parliament, and has received Royal Assent, it will become a Law.
Currently, the common law is doing a pretty good job of developing sensibly on its own in this regard, so the Digital Assets Bill is more of a nice-to-have, rather than an essential.

What's a Web-of-Trust relay?
It's a type of relay that anyone can read from, but only certain people can write to. If the owner follows you or one of the people that the owner follows, follows you, then you're considered inside their Web-of-Trust. You can then write to this relay!
Example:
I follow nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m but I do not follow @billybob. nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m however does follow @billybob. Therefore, @billybob is allowed to write to my WoT relay.
Even if you're not inside a WoT, you can still use these relays for reading Nostr content. This relay software also fetches and archives content from people inside the WoT automatically. This means users inside the WoT don't even need to choose these relays and write to them for their content to be available on these relays. And then readers can enjoy this content with little to no spam. Cool.
