For the sake of brainstorming, why is not being able to delete a note a feature and not a bug?

not an expert here, but I think that the inability to delete a note once published to #Nostr , while sometimes annoying, is also a byproduct of the published note having been spread across independent, decentralized nodes rather than published within a central platform with user accounts.

so it's not so much a feature people want, but a tolerable sacrifice for the sake of decentralization.

Had dinner last night with an old friend. He was a self-proclaimed Bitcoin Maximalist a few years ago.

I think someone must have hurt his feelings on Twitter because he went on and on about how dumb Bitcoin Maximalists are and how we suck at marketing and how Bitcoin isn’t “cool” like Ethereum. He believes that Bitcoiners have shunned “leftist types” and that those people are the ones who are the talented culture shapers/artists/etc. I explained to him how in the US at least, this is patently false from what I can see. The woke mob have basically become the modern day church lady shaking their fingers at anyone who doesn’t fall in line with their ideology.

Ironically, after shitting on Bitcoin and Bitcoiners for an hour, at the end of dinner he admitted that he only holds Bitcoin and it is his savings account. Actions speak louder than words.

You know we are winning when people who hate the Bitcoin “culture” (which is clearly not homogeneous in-spite of some trying to paint it as such) are still holding Bitcoin as their tool for saving for the future.

Bitcoin is money for adversaries.

They're stuck so much on camera with tiktok and other social media sites they'd be happy with government camera's in their home watching their every move. This is not made up I watched a documentary giving out then stats.. Crazy dude..

Nearly a third of Gen Z favours the government installing surveillance cameras in homes.
